So why do we enjoy blogs so much? Why do we keep them up to date? Take the time to read the blogs of others?
To keep in touch, to hear about the joys and sorrows of the lives of others. Those that are walking on air from the love of another, who've gotten the job they've long desired, or who is just happy with life in general. Those that are struggling with life's uglier realities. The illness or death of one they care for. Illnesses they are suffering with themselves, struggles with money or family relations. The daily issues which surround being a part of the human race.
To laugh at the blogs designed to make you do so. There are those that I look forward to seeing each day, knowing they will, at the very least, give me a smile. They are filled with jokes, parodies, comical outtakes on this thing called life. The humorous side of those I've chatted with can be a joy indeed! It can bring the person behind the chat persona more fully into focus, round them out completely. Nothing is more delightful than to find humor in most unexpected places!
To read words of passion and love and sorrow. Words so deep that they make you stop and think.. often for days. That leave you wondering at the meaning of life ... your life, the lives of others.. the lives of all. What does it mean? Do I see it this way? These blogs come in many forms. Some are straight forth, written out plainly, the writer's views clearly stated in words designed to make you ponder. Others are more poetic, written in lovely verses and twists of phrases that leave you gasping with their beauty. I enjoy them all. I think of them all throughout my days. I learn from them.
To share in lifestyles that may be somewhat different from yours.. maybe a lot different! I have many friends, many that lead lives that although I could never lead, I can fully appreciate them, maybe understand them... definitely see the fulfillment and joy they bring the other. I learn from these as well. I learn greater understanding for the variety of life. The contentment that is to be had in all its forms. I learn that an open mind and heart can bring me some dear friends. That not judging is one of the greatest gifts... for the giver and the receiver. There is no right way to live.. just the one that makes you feel the most like yourself.
To share of yourself in all these forms as well. To share your daily life, whether it be happy or sad at the time. To attempt to make others laugh along with you .. maybe bring a bit of light to a soul that could be feeling down at the time. To share heartaches and pains and seek the comfort and strength of others. To give of your strength and knowledge in the off chance you may encourage another with whatever they may be dealing with in their life.
To know your fellow human!
That is the ultimate reason we enjoy these blogs!
