1. Tabbed Browsing
- Open a link in a new tab by clicking on your mouse wheel/middle mouse button. Close a tab by middle clicking on it.
- Open a new tab with CTRL+T
- Colurful Tabs - Not really trick, but it's an amazing addon that makes your tabs colorful and aesthetically improves Firefox greatly.
2. Auto Completion of URL's
Navigate to your address bar (CTRL+L) and type in the name of a site you want to visit without using “www” or “.com”. For example, yahoo. Press CTRL-ENTER and the “www” and “.com” will automatically fill in and you'll be taken to the site.
3. Increase/Decrease Text Size
Hold CTRL and use your mouse wheel to scroll up (decreases text size) or down (increases text size).
4. Easy-Access Bookmarks
Right click on a bookmark and select Properties. If you put in a keyword in the keyword bar, you'll be able to type that keyword into the address bar and it will automatically go to the bookmark.
5. Searching Keywords
If you are an avid user of a certain search engine, then go to the search box and right click on it. Select the “Add a Keyword for this search,” button and then pick a keyword that is concise and clear. For example, if you use Google Maps a lot, try “map.” When you need to find a map, you can just type “map (address)” and it'll search Google Maps. Awesome, eh?
