I do not believe in chain emails, when I say this it doesn’t mean that I don’t thin they exist, no far from it I know they are out there I just don’t believe in the information they carry.
A good example of a chain email is where you can see from the head line it’s a FW with no subject, well I wonder what this could be, next think you know you have opened it, they tend to be some sad story about how a little girl was killed in her house at a certain time and if you don’t pass this email on she will come see you that night and kill you.
Oh no I opened it shit I must pass it on before some little dead girl comes into my room that night argghhh what shall I do, oh wait I know I shall delete the email and block the person who sent it to me, my life is busy and that last thing I need to be doing is reading some damn stupid email!
They get worse as time goes on, you now get chain emails saying that msn will soon be charging its customers to use msn, now for some reason I doubt this and if they were going to I’m sure they would let us know in some other fashion and not a email from a bored 12 year old kid with nothing better to do.
The strange fact is people out there actually begin to believe these email and panic, I feel sorry for the people who actually believe that a dead girl is going to come and kill them, I know there are medical conditions that make these people believe these facts, this is why people should be punished for sending such crap!
You even see the chain mail spreading to sites such as myspace, here you get stories that say repost or your true love will never find you, or if you don’t resend you’ll have bad luck for a gazillion years, I’m pretty sure that your mail will not stop the person I am meant to be with from finding me, come on get a grip!
One person you know will send it to some one else you know and you, then they will send it to you and maybe some one else you know, this carries on to you have the same email like 10 times in your inbox and for once you thought you was popular.
One of the main reasons I hate chain email is the fact you get some companies out there that collect these emails, they then have a list of hundreds of email address from people who resend this crap.
The last fact is viruses are now been hidden in emails, mainly chain style ones, when they are opened your computer is in for a world of pain and you will be kicking your self for opening that email you knew would not be important.
It’s about time something was done about chain emails, if you get one don’t send it just delete it help stop them spreading!
