It seems like you cannot open your email with out getting a couple with the title ‘OPEN NOW’ or ‘PLEASE READ- VERY IMPORTANT!’. Of course, once you open it, the email goes along the same guidelines as the thousand of other ones you have received.
It gives you a sob story, ending with a horrible murder or supernatural happening.
Then, tagged on to the end like a sign announcing the ending of the world:
“If you do not send this to X amount of people you will die in X amount of days.”
Of course, many people will send this on, not because they really believe it, but because they claim to want to be on the 'safe side'. So let me just say one thing:
A ghost will NOT and CANNOT kill you.
That Axe Murderer they talked about, he DOESN'T EXIST.
One more thing: Bad luck is not handed out like candy at a parade.
These threatening chain mails are ridiculous, and meant for entertainment purposes only. There is no truth behind them, no matter what you might hear from a friend that heard from a friend that heard it from their second cousin twice removed. Honestly, I find them a mere annoyance. They clog up email and message boards and take up space. Although it can be disputed that some of the stories used in the chain mails can be said to act as our generations urban legends, telling us the consequences of drinking and driving and other such thing.
If only the purpose of the chain mail was to teach us these things instead of feeding the human need of the sick and twisted.
In conclusion...
If you do not show this to five people in the next twenty minutes...
