Like DAS you will first have to set up a code in the pages that you want to let follow. The VisitorVille software that you have to download can do this even automatically for you. The design of VisitorVille is beautiful. After you start
the program that you have downloaded, you will see your complete website being reproduced as a city. Buses with visitors are riding from pick-up points through the busy streets to deliver them to the different buildings (the pages within your site). For an impression: look at the screenshots on the VisitorVille site. It looks spectacular.
Because of the beautiful design it will give the impression that VisitorVille isn’t a professional counter, and that the appearance was more important then visitor details. This however is not the case. There are numerous reports at your service with all sorts of details about your visitors. Normally these are the things that you can expect from a tracker, as: referrers, unique visitors, nationality, used browser/resolution/OS and the most popular pages. Only this tracker can also do more such as: chatting with visitors, storage the number of downloads from your site, and storage sales-details for sites that are occupied with e-commerce.
VisitorVille is certainly worth the try. However the high price will maybe hold users back of trying this tracker.
