I would like to start this three part series on making blogs profitable by talking about MySpace . A you may well know MySpace is a free social networking site with literally millions of users, but what you may not have known is that MySpace can also be used to generate a small but tidy income for yourself.
How? I Hear You Ask...
Well simple, your MySpace blog! Yes that's right you can make money buy utilizing the most unused feature on MySpace , the blog with a fairly new advertising method where by advertisers pay you to write about a product or service in exchange for cash.
How Do I Start? Well Let's Begin
First of all you actually need a MySpace account so if you do not have one, create one and secondly you need to have a paypal account. Paypal is the most common method in which you will be paid for your articles. After you have all this set up you will need to find advertisers to write about but doing this on your own can be time consuming so I would suggest signing up with a service that connects you with potential advertisers.
This Is All Well and Good But Where Do I Find These Services?
You will find them on Google, just type into the search field "get paid to post" and click search but there is one service I would personally recommend.
PayPerPost
This service presents you with open opportunities along with the amount the advertiser will pay for your post giving you the choice to pick the articles you want to write. You then get paid via check or paypal after the article has been on your blog for more than 30 days. Note that this service expects you to keep the article on your blog for the life of the blog. You can also be put into an affiliate scheme where you get paid to refer other people to the site.
How Do I Set Up an Account With PayPerPost?
Go to payperpost.com
and click "Get Started!" in the top right of the home page then select "blogger" from the drop down menu and click "go". You will then be taken to the sign up page, complete the sign up process by typing in the required information. You will also be asked for your email and paypal address which need to be correct otherwise you won't be able to verify your email meaning no account.
After the sign up process you can then log into your personal home page that displays how much you have earned this month. As this is the first time you log in it should be $0.00 if not your very lucky!
You will notice that some of the opportunities are in red, this means that your blog does not meet the requirements necessary to write about that particular service but don't worry there are plenty tasks you can take. Just click on "Open Opportunities" and then click "Qualified Opportunities" which will only show you tasks you are able to take.
Once you have accepted an opportunity you then must right the article… If you are required to place an image in the article please place it in your post otherwise your post will not be accepted. Also note that when you click accept the page that follows needs to be up because it's the form you fill out and submit for approval after you have written the article.
Article approval usually takes no more than a few hours and once approved you will see the money for that article in your paypal account after the post has been on your blog for a period of 30 days.
So that is how you can effectively make money from MySpace. So simple, why have you not started yet?
