Misleading Advertisements
Almost all sites advertise that you can make $25 for taking a simple ten-minute survey. The truth is that these huge surveys are extremely rare, if they exist at all. They provide examples on the huge income you could make, when the average income is much lower. Survey invitations themselves are rare. Surveys are not a way for quick cash, which is what most sites advertise. Huge Minimum Payouts
All sites require you to reach a certain amount of money before cashing out. They tend to be relatively high and take a while to reach. A typical survey site will take around a month to reach the payout limit. If you never reach the minimum payout, they never have to pay you and they just earned money off your wasted efforts. Most sites want you to waste your time completing surveys and offers. They lose no money this way. The site requires $75 to cash out, but they say that they have high-paying surveys, which is a lie.No Referrals Equal Low Income
Most sites offer bonuses for gathering referrals. These referral bonuses actually make up a huge portion of the serious survey taker. If you don't have any referrals, you won't be making anywhere near the amount the site advertises. These people have finished with their surveys and offers and now need referrals to gain more money. Knowing If It's a Scam or For Real
It is very hard to tell if a site is a scam or if they really pay. If a site is offering an insane amount of cash, it is a scam. Never believe anything a site tells you. A good way to test a site is to run a google search on that site and company. Negative feedback will tell you that this site could be a scam. I myself fell for a site only to find out later that it was a scam. These sites will try to deny you payment anyway possible. Processing Fees and Long Payout Times
Sites typically send payout through Paypal or by check. However, some sites charge fees to process your payment. Payment can also take weeks, especially if you choose to be paid through a mailed check. This is simply a delay tactic, to avoid paying you as long as possible. The majority of sites only pay on a certain date each month.
