Work At Home Scam Revealed

This article warns future prospects of one of the biggest work from home opportunity scams out there.

There is a very popular work from home job out there that you need to beware of the trickery and don’t be fooled into spending your money on. The ads and their websites are very persuasive, and this program looks like a great way to make money from home with only a little investment from you.

This work from home scam is called rebateprocessors.com.

This one is the sneakiest one I've seen yet. They are selling to you under false pretenses and personally, I think there should be some litigation brought against them because so many people have fallen for their ploy and lost money. If you've been looking for work from home opportunities for very long, you've probably come across this thing called rebate processing.

It is fascinating! All you have to do is fill out a quick form online. You send someone a rebate for $8.50 and you get paid $15. How great is that! It takes about five minutes total time. Let's see, $15 every five minutes, that's about $180 bucks an hour! Sure sign me up immediately lol yeah right who are these people!

Ready for the catch? The catch is that the $8.50 that you send the person is YOUR M0NEY! They conveniently don't tell you that. I'm really tired of bogus offers like this. It does nothing but disappoint good people looking for an opportunity to make a decent living from their homes. That's why I'm going to show you exactly what they are selling here so you won't be fooled.

Here we go: What you do is some how sell someone on the Internet some product (you get to figure out how to do that). Then you tell them that you will sell them that product cheaper than anyone else will because you are going to give them a rebate that no one else will give them. So here's how it works out: The person buys the product for say, $40. Then you get a rather generous commission of $20! But then you send the customer their $8.50rebate. That leaves you with $11.50. Not too bad actually.

What they don't tell you is that your advertising costs are going to be at least $25 per customer! (I know that to be the case because I speak from experience and know how much PPR and adwords cost.) So now you're making a negative $13.50 each and every time you sell a product! This one is actually worse than most and it is very popular.

The headline for this rebate processing business should be something like: "Who else wants to lose $13.50 every five minutes you work!" And I won't even get into the math for what happens when someone wants a refund. That would scare you to death. The real truth is that if you want to make a living from your home working on the Internet, you're going to have to put some work in.

If you like further information regarding real legitimate work from home opportunities check out this site. Dozens of opportunities that don’t cost anything to start.

So very tru.

I was recently scammed by http://3500weekly.com/ who promised me a 800 page website. I paid my money and then they turned around and told me I had to pay a huge monthly hosting fee. The original sales page does not state having to pay any more than the asking price. Steer clear of this one. By the way they won’t refund neither.

Thank you for trying to get the word out about rebate "scams." I've also tried other work-at-home sites only to spend my money and be disappointed.

Also to add,, what about the survey confusion,, make lots of money!? ,,,maybe,, if you like getting only limited surveys that show up at odd times and don\'t really pay anything,,, don\'t trust anything without checking for scams. (one last thing)The FBI and CIA both have places that list scams and you can report scams if you want to do some real research and get informed.

good hint to anyone out there that it is a SCAM. Have you ever had to pay to have a job. All employers pay every week or every 2 weeks. Lets stop and think about these things. I never heard a boss say, well if you want to work at this restaurant you have to give us $50 or if you want to work at this hospital you will have to give us $200 first, whatever the position might be.

Excellent info. I'm trying to find legitimate work at home positions and someone provided feedback about ProcessAtHome.com on their site as a rebate processing job that is not a scam. However, it sounds very similar to rebateprocessor.com. Anyone know anything about ProcessAtHome?

guess i just got taken for 39.00 to paid for programs and can\'t access the site, it won\'t take my pass word either. virtual-training-solutions.

The only thing I found available is Mystery Shopping through this Virtual-training-solutions. I applied to 4 places and have been accepted as a shopper for two. You have to stay on top of their supply list of areas to shop, and then apply to that shop if it hasn\'t been scheduled yet. I have been accepted by one, and have to shop Pearl Vision next week. I pray this isn\'t a scam either. You don\'t get paid until the month after you shop through paypal. Will follow up with you later on this one.
