With so many sites out there it's getting more and more difficult to actually get a search to come out with what you actually want. So what can you do to make the specific information that you want? Well make sure you search with all the right words! I know about Google the most so I am going to show you how to define your search so then you can get the right results which you are looking for.
Step 1
Load up Google.
What do you want to search for? For this case I want to search “Growing Vegetables” so instead of just typing it in the bar look to the left and you should see in small writing something that says “Advanced Search”, click on it.
Step 3
So you should see a form, fill in what you want to search in the top bar, now I'm thinking about either growing Tomatoes or Potatoes so in the third row it says any other words so I'm going to put up Tomatoes and Potatoes.
Step 4
So you now have what you want to search, but are there any words which you don't want to be included, if so put them in the box that is in the 4th row down. Select what type of results you want and then press “advanced search” and it should go to a normal search page.

You can define your searching for anything and even with what I showed you, you can still define your search even further! For example with tomatoes you could say big tomatoes. It is very simple and useful as you wont have to go searching through pages of information.
