If you haven't yet heard, Cuil is the newest search engine on the market. Formed by Ex-Google search experts Anna Patterson and Russell Power, and Xift founder Tom Costello, Cuil claims it is better, faster, and more organized than Google.
Although I'm not yet sold on it, the search engine has some features Google doesn't seem to have. Check them out, and decide if it's better than Google.
Typing Suggestions

As you're typing in a keyword in the search field, a menu will appear with suggested topics related to the search. For instance, if you type in the word ‘drug', a menu will appear to suggest drug, drums, Drudge Report, etc. Incidentally, you can turn this feature off if you don't like it.
Safe Search
Cuil will filter through your search and keep pornographic material from your search results. This is particularly useful if you have children who use the Internet. You can also disable this feature.
Explore by Category

Cuil gives you more options when you search. It will suggest categories related to your query, so you can narrow your search down to a particular focus. This is a good tool to have when you are researching a subject you don't know much about. If you type in ‘insurance', Cuil will suggest Types of Insurance, Insurance Companies of the United States, Mutual Insurance Companies, etc.
Roll Over Categories

If you choose to select Insurance Companies in the United States in the Explore by Category table, Cuil will then narrow down the search even further. It will suggest Union Central Life Insurance Company, OneBeacon Insurance Group, Shelter Insurance, etc.
Definitions

When you are using the Explore by Category function and choose to roll over a topic, Cuil will provide a definition of the subject as you roll over it. In this case, it gives a full definition of Life Insurance.
Tabs

Once you've entered your search terms, Cuil will give you the option to clarify what you're searching for. Once you've typed in ‘insurance', a series of tabs will appear under your search field, suggesting ways to narrow down your search. In this case, they suggest Car Insurance, Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Dental Insurance, etc. You can click on it and find more fields related to your search.
Navigation Suggestions

When you type a query, sometimes you'll see a search suggestion with an icon representing a website. Click on this link and you will go directly to that website.
Columns

You can choose to have the information displayed in two columns, or three columns.
