How to stay safe on ebay

A few simple but effective tips on how to stay safe on ebay and not get ripped off

ebay is a great place for us to buy and sell. The main problem is that there is a small fraction of people on the site dedicated to ripping of customers like us, now how do we avoid the bad sellers from the good ones.

Firstly ebay as the amazing feedback system where you can read what other people have said about the user, check for the number of bad feedback they have compared to there good feedback, read the bad feedback and check to see if the issues had been resolved.

Next read the items description carefully, don’t just skim read check all the details and make sure your bidding on the item that you want, this is very important a lot of people on ebay have bought pictures of xbox 360 all because they didn’t read the entire description.

Check the pictures to make sure the product is like the one listed on the description, if some where it says picture does not represent item then ask your self why? This could be a sure sign of a bad seller.

People who hide there feedback do have something to hide believe me stay away from these sellers they will rip you off, no one on ebay as a reason to hide there feedback.

Be careful of new ID’s on ebay selling lots of the same item, some times people create new ID’s and sell fake products then close the account, this can be a sure sign.

These are some tips I thought id share with you all to dodge the bad crop on ebay and to keep you guys safe! Peace out.

Thanks for this important article. I have typically have good luck with ebay. Only once did I purchase something that never came. I wrote the ebay seller, but he/she said that it was shipped and that I needed to follow up with the post office. I did and they said they never received it. Then I contacted the seller again...but no response.

Thank you for writing a piece to help keep others from encountering ebay troubles!

Best wishes!

Sincerely,

-Liane Schmidt.

Poorly written article, horrible grammar and the "author", (term used loosely) offers no real advice at all. Whichever website he uses to submit articles really dropped the ball on this one.
