Every year, thousands of Americans fall of "data entry" or "online marketing" scams. After paying their hard earned money to learn how to make millions of dollars with little or no effort, they find they have been scammed. Instead of being rich, they are simply a little more poor than they were previously. Even many Americans who realize that these "business opportunities" are probably scams are not invulnerable to them. Many are so curious about how these programs work and whether anyone has actually made money with them, that they are willing to pay the $29.95 of whatever the program fee is just to learn how they work to satisfy their curiosity. If that is you, save your money. In this article I will explain how many of these programs work.
First, we must realize that there are many types of scams on the internet. Some try to obtain your credit card information so they can steal your identity and/or your confidential financial information. Others simply do not do what they report to do. These con artists just take your money and disappear. There are several, however that have to do with what they either call "data entry" or "online marketing." While they seldom provide any real details about how their programs work, these websites usually make it sound like all you have to do is work for a couple of hours a day to make yourself a millionaire in no time at all. Unfortunately, no one ever became a millionaire so easily.
It is that fee that you pay to register for the program that drives it. These programs generally do not have any real program or service to offer. Instead, they offer the prospect of making a commission when you convince other people to sign up for the program and pay their $29.95. To do this, the website encourage you to post advertisements for the program on various "work from home" websites and forums. The also encourage you to take out ads in the paper or even radio. When people go to your website and sign up for the program, you can and will make money.
Thus, these programs are only scams in so far as they do not offer any real product. They are instead self perpetuating. They do make money for some people however. Thousands of people sign up for these programs every year, so that money has to go somewhere. Also, you can occasionally here advertisements for these types of ads on the radio. Radio advertising is expensive, and you would not hear these ads if the people paying for them did not think they could make up their costs. At the same time, however, the people who make money in these online marketing scams are the people who do not being con artists themselves. They are also the people who are willing to risk being lost in the vast sea of work-at-home opportunities. For whatever reason, they have been successful at attracting attention and convincing people to sign up. Many more, however are not so lucky.
