Getting Your URL Banned

One day you noticed that all of your content that you shared has disappeared. You don’t know why or what you have done wrong. Then after you start asking questions, you learn that you have been banned and have been considered as spam.

There are a lot of sites where you can share your content by adding your URL. They tell you to submit the information, and even if you don’t get enough votes, they tell you that your URL of your article can still stay on the site. But one day, you noticed that all of your content that you shared has disappeared. You don’t know why or what you have done wrong. Then after you start asking questions, you learn that you have been banned and have been considered as spam.

I went to a particular website that accepts articles and they are a community. At the site, there is a list of other sites and the websites are for different things. But I will not give the names of the websites. I created an account with them and they accepted one of my articles. As soon as I started submitting more, I noticed that I was banned, and even my story that they accepted. My tags and the URL’s of my articles were gone. Everything was wiped out except for my account. I wrote the person in charge and asked him what happened. He told me that he banned me because I added spam to the site. I told him as far as I knew, my articles were not spam. First of all, I did not know what they considered as spam. When I told him that I did not really know what spam was in submitting articles, he did not bother to explain it to me. I tried some of the other sites within that site, and I was banned. So I just told him to cancel my account.

After I was banned, I learned on my own that sometimes spam is considered as old news when you submit articles. It could be repeated stories, blogs, and stories submitted by website owners. Other people, if not the person in charge, may mark your article as spam. Your article might not be spam. Some people that read your articles just like to complain about what others are sharing. Some of the content websites tell you that you can share. Everybody has something they think is interesting to share. Their may be a variety of things. So I don’t know what the problem is. The only thing that I see that could be a problem is submitting repeated stories. The good thing about some content websites is that you can check to see if the story is already submitted. If you have the same story and it is not your own, you can always write about the same thing and point out different things than the first writer did.

The last thing I want to mention is that they have a lot of categories for you to choose from. You might go to a content site that is all about technology and computer science. Only certain types of stories on that site may be useful. But you may get off on the wrong track a little bit. Always keep in mind that the site is about a particular thing. If your URL is banned, don’t feel bad. Keep on moving. People keep coming up with new ways and new ideas. There are other content sites that might be better. Don’t give up. One door may get closed in your face, but there might be another door opened for you.

Yes, very informative. This happened to me..I was banned for 'abuse' of one of these sites. Still don't know what I did wrong. I wonder if it was the same one????
