Apart from the usual school or college alumni groups and workplace groups, there are actually thousands of other fun and interesting groups you can join to meet up with people with similar interest. Here are 10 fun groups you just have to join in Facebook.
This group is restricted to people who work in the office and who get bored very often. I wonder why. I seem to have tonnes of things to do whenever I'm in the office. Anyway, this group suggests, in fact dares you to do some crazy things when they become bored in the office. They already have 1,448 members (as at April 2008).
There are a group of people who are interested in making money from creating websites, generating traffic to it and selling it away. These people call themselves site flippers. There has been some success stories of site flippers selling their website for a sum of money after only three months of creating it, generating content for it and working on the site's traffic. I find this bunch of people quite cool actually.
The most amazing thing about this group is that it already has 253,936 members in April 2008, the last time I checked. That's a lot of pessimistic people out there thinking that they will fail in their exams. They'd rather hang out with this group than study for their exams. You'd better check if any of your kids are in this group!
This group has generated a lot of interest. Psychologically, no one wants to miss out on this grand opportunity, so everyone joins in, including me! They do not want to be the one billion and first person to join, who gets nothing. Since this group was set up, it has been parodied. Check these out:

This group is for the language enthusiast and those extremely particular about grammar and punctuation. It's comforting to know that there are lots of people (85,670 members) still concerned about proper language in this techno age where everything is written in acronyms and SMS language.
Here is a group which brings together people with unusual names or names with unconventional spelling. When I checked out the members in this group, they really do have interesting names such as Silver (as in the metal), Chanel (as in the perfume) and Martini (as in the cocktail).
I was once a scrapbooker and yes, I went berzerk and bought lots of scrapbooking materials and magazines. So, there is a grain of truth in the name of this group. This is strictly for those addicted to scrapbooking!
I can't believe that there are so many superstitious people on Facebook. These people make wishes at this time, not sure whether in the morning or at night, and claim that their wishes do come true. There are real-life testimonies from the members in this group displayed in the group pages. On top of that, there are also people who make wishes at 12:34 too!
Have you ever been interested in a person but later on, you asked yourself "I can't believe I was actually interested in so-and-so (what was I thinking!?!?). If yes, you should join this group. Here is a place where you can rant and rave away about that no-longer-special someone that you once had your eye on but no longer do. Quite an interesting group here!
Do you have any strange ways to fall back to sleep if you wake up in the middle of the night? I sleep on my belly with my face plunged into my pillow and rub my feet against the bedsheet. What about you? This group is not limited to flipping pillows though, there are many other ridiculous things we do to get a good night's rest. Here is the place to share your stories. These are the dumbest groups to join, especially the one about getting a car. Do you really think you are going to get a car? Oh if you are obviously about to fail an exam because of not studying, then get off FACEBOOK!

well i guess these groups are really FUN (as what the title says) to join especially when you are bored... sometimes it is nice to be a part of a light conversation after a tough day's work, right? i'd still say this article is nice sydney...
