How to Add Your Website or Blog to Twitter

Do you want another way to drive traffic to your website or blog? Use Twitter to boost visitors.

If you have been using Twitter for any length of time, you'll want to look at adding your website or blog to Twitter, so that your followers can check it out.

How many people are following you on Twitter? If you haven't included your site or blog, you may be leaving viewers behind and revenue on the table.

How do you add your website/blog to Twitter? Just follow these simple steps.

Adding Your Website to Twitter

  1. Sign in to Twitter
  2. Go to Settings (up along the top, to the right)
  3. Scroll down on the page until you come to: "More Info URL." It asks: Have a homepage or a blog?
  4. Include your URL (copy/paste)
  5. Add an interesting sentence where it says: "One Line Bio."

Now, when people visit Twitter and click on your name, they will be taken to the About section, where they will see:

  • Your name
  • Your picture (if you've added it)
  • Your Bio
  • And underneath it, a link to your site

It takes a while to get onto using the different Twitter features but it can be a great little tool. Link to your website/blog at Twitter to attract a larger following.

In my next article, I will discuss adding your latest Twits to your site.

Great idea. Another one is to use a site like http://www.twittersig.info to create an html link to your latest tweets. You can post those anywhere really. Social networking profiles, forum signatures.

Good tips, David. Thanks for sharing. I've just added twits to my some of my blogs and will add more when I have time. I like using the Triond Feed, too, so blog readers have access to Triond articles through that, too.

Thnks, Dee, I'm glad this info. was helpful.

I wish I would use these tools... I just seem too lazy, or incapable! All I need is a wet nurse, lol.

Nice and informative.
