Struggling with Content and Social Sites

Some people are really on the Internet just to be mean. They curse you out and use profanity, and we don’t need it. I would appreciate it if a person would just be honest and simply say, I don’t like it.

Art and Photos

From experience, I know that some content will not make it on some social websites. People can get pretty mean too and some of it is jealousy. Someone tried to run me away from a social website when I first starting writing articles. I would add my own art to my articles and try to be creative. I spoke with the person in charge of the site. He didn’t have a problem with it.

I wanted to make sure that I was being fair and wanted to find out if my article and art was acceptable to the site. Still, the person that tried to run me away made sure that my work stayed down with no votes. Oh well, I still added my content and got a few hits. You can’t let people worry you. When you try to share your art and pictures, you might do good just getting one vote. It’s got to be really something to get someone’s attention. If you have clean art, no one seems to notice it that much.

If it is something a little dirty, everybody notices that no matter what social site you are on. It might make it to the front page. When I added an article with a little art, I felt as if I really stepped on someone. I thought that they were going to fall out and die over the internet and have a heart attack. I told them to go right ahead and do so because it made no since.

Articles

I notice that a lot of articles about politics really get a lot of hits. If you write about US Citizens being tortured by the US and do a good job writing about it, it will probably make it to the front page of the site. It is possible to receive a lot of hits in any category. But it’s got to be a mighty interesting article.

Conduct

If you write something on religion, you are going to find that everybody has their own religious beliefs. I have learned to just write the article and let people say what they have to say. Some people love to debate and like to have a good argument. When people strongly believe what they believe, and if you strongly believe what you believe, just let them believe what they believe.

There are times when you might not like a person’s article or content. Try to find the things you do like about it. When you see content that you just don’t like at all, skip it and go to something else. Some people are really on the internet just to be mean. They curse you out and use profanity, and we don’t need it. I would appreciate it if a person would just be honest and simply say, I don’t like it.

Yes, the only thing I can say when it's happened to me I've tried to look at it like: They must've found your work valuable enough to take their time to write something about it.

I try to do my best to "flip" negatives to positives.

Best wishes.

Sincerely,

-Liane Schmidt.

Hi Liane,
I agree with you. They took the time to read and write about it. Keep on flipping those negatives to positives. Great attitude.

When I reply to those negative comments, I try to be as "neutral" as I can.

Good advice!
