As a website creator, I know there are many resources and tools for creating good websites. That is why I have created a list of tools that I find useful to share with you.

Color:

• 4069 Color Wheel : A very easy to use and versatile color picker.
• Color Scheme Generator 2 : Given a set number of basic starter colors, you can chose if you want the complimentary colors to be mono, contrast, triad, tetrad, or analogic. Very easy to use.
• Color Palette Generator : If you have an image you want to build your site to match, this color scheme generator is perfect. Just paste the url to where the image is located and it will generate a matching color scheme for you.
• Color Blender : Another very simple and easy to use color generator, this one allows the option of saving the color scheme.

Fonts:

• Better Fonts : 10 000 free fonts, without having to click to preview. Very easy to use and download.
• Great Fonts for Web 2.0 : A short list of fonts that are good for headers.
• Typetester : Compares different fonts right in front of you on the screen instantly.

Images:

• Free Range : Free high resolution stock photos.
• Stock.xchng : Over 250 000 stock photos.
• Freestockphotography : Royalty free photos.
• FreePhotosBank : Another great free photo site.
• FavIcon : Generates an icon from an image.
• Famfamfam : Lots of free Icons.
• IconArchive : 12 500 + icons for almost every purpose.

• CSS Zen Garden : A series of websites showing the power of CSS.
• BestWebGallery : A gallery of some well designed websites.
• Open Source Web Design : A site where you can download over 2000 website templates.
• ProfessionalontheWeb : Submit your site for people to rate and view other projects.

Other Tools:

• Browsershots.org : Takes screen shots of your website in different browsers and shows them to you.
• Special Characters : Includes all the special characters name code for html.
• Anybrowser.com : Allows you to view your site in different screen resolutions.
• W3C Validator Service : Checks for errors in your html code.
• Web 2.0 how-to design guide : Explores the different graphic elements in Web 2.0, why they work, and where to put them. Includes many great examples.
