Here you can learn about the top eight websites in the world today. These top websites are my opinion and you should probably agree with most of my picks. You will also learn about each site's history, purpose, and logo.

  1. Google

    Google is the largest and greatest online search engine. The website enables online users to search for pictures, websites, maps, news, and etc… To this date Google is the most viewed daily website with hundreds of millions of views a day. Google also allows searchers to narrow down there results by searching websites in order of popularity, giving links to similar websites, and giving alternative key words. It is also a very safe website and allows searchers to filter their results and stay out of inappropriate websites.
  2. EBay

    EBay is an online auction website that enables users to both buy and sell items online. Selling items is one of the greatest features EBay has to offer. It allows anyone to try to sell their unwanted belongings online and it costs the seller a very low amount to do so. It also is a great website for buying items. It carries all types of items and will most likely have exactly what you're looking for. It sorts the products into categories making the shopping fast, precise, and easy.
  3. YouTube

    YouTube is another great website that has really picked up in the last couple years. YouTube allows users to upload and view videos on the site. It is a great way to become a star and be viewed world wide. The videos are sorted by tags and popularity and are all unique in their own way. All the videos areToday there are millions of videos on YouTube and the website is still growing each and everyday.
  4. MySpace

    MySpace is a great way to meet new people and make friends online. MySpace is a free social networking site which allows you to create your own profile and customize it with your own ideas and pictures to show your own style and personality. You are also able to surf other peoples profiles and view their pictures, chat with them, and leave messages. This site started a couple years ago and has really taken off. It is especially big with middle school and high school kids.
  5. Facebook

    Facebook is basically just like Myspace but with more capabilities and options. Facebook came out after Myspace and has been really been growing since. So far it does not have as many users as Myspace but it has been predicted that in the next couple years it will over take Myspace as the top social networking site. Facebook like Myspace is also free and seems to be used more by the older crowd. It is mainly used by high school and college kids and is a great way to keep in touch with old school friends.
  6. Espn

    This is the best free website available for information about college and professional sports. Today in America ESPN is used by millions of people and often acts as their main source for sporting information. ESPN carries information about every college and professional sport imaginable and is updated with new scores and statistics hourly. If you are a sports nut this website is a match made in heaven.
  7. PayPal

    This is a free service which allows users to send and receive money and bills through E-mail. Today millions of people world wide uses this free service to buy things online. In your paypal account you can store money which can be spent online any way you would like. It is like a virtual debit card or bank account. Paypal is a very safe and trusted service and even has insurance on your money in case it gets stolen.
  8. Wikipedia

    Wikipedia.com is the world's largest encyclopedia available on the Web. Wikipedia was started by a man named Jimmy Wales in 2001 and today there have been over 3 million entries in over 120 different languages. Today Wikipedia is visited millions of times a day and helps millions of people world wide. It is a great site and has an amazing story behind it.
