Research may be as simple as just going into Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox. But researching for a project contains more than just opening a web browser. The quality information is based on the websites that you have based your information from.
A good informative website for projects, essays and reports should consist, or may consist of the following:
- It should end with ".edu" or "org". This is because a lot of school related websites are often created for the use of their students. And students should receive accurate materials.
- It should have an author. Having an author should be a sign that the information can not be edited.
- Bad sites include Wikipedia, but are a great starting point. Wikipedia is bad because anyone in the world has the ability to edit the current information.
- You should use the three site rule. The 3 site rule is to take the imformation from 3 sites and compare if the information on all 3 are similar if not, the same.
Don't forget to cite down the websites you use in APA/MLA format.
