10 Fun Websites to Create Your Own Free Banner

Banner Creator

Here is a website where everything you need to make a banner is available on one page. If you just began creating banners, this may be a good place to make a very simple banner. There are only a few elements you can modify in your banner. They are the background color (solid or gradient), three lines of text, and two graphic elements from their gallery. Although very limited in variety, it is an excellent tool for fancy-less banners. Your banner comes in a small file size which is often required for banner exchanges and advertising networks.

Search Bliss Banner Maker

Here is another easy-to-use website to create your banner. At Search Bliss, there are several banner backgrounds you can select from. The backgrounds contain some graphics. You simply need to add the two lines of text to your banner. You can modify the font type, font size and font color to complete the overall look of your banner. You have a choice of saving your banner in GIF or JPEG format.

The PC Man Website Banner Creator

At the PC Man Website, you have a choice of five banner sizes to choose from. There are hundreds of banner templates you can use for your banner background, including cartoon images and "Click here!" signs suitable for banner ads. You can customize three lines of text, each of which you can change the font type, size and color independently. Once you have completed your banner, simply right click and save the image. It's that easy!

Crecon

At Crecon, there are some interesting banner backgrounds, some of which includes photo images. You can change two lines of text which you can modify its font type, size and color. If you have your own image, you can also use them for your own background and create a fully customized banner. All files are in the GIF format.

Banner Sketch

Banner Sketch must be one of my favorites so far. You can select beautiful picture banner templates listed by category. However, you are limited in the banner size. You can select from two banner sizes, namely (468 x 60) and (234 x 60). What I like about Banner Sketch is that there is a fantastic selection of fonts to choose from, unlike the other banner maker sites I have visited. I found some great typewriter fonts I was looking for, jersey fonts and Harry Potter fonts, The Godfather font, Matrix font, and many more. You get to customize three lines of text and can even rotate the text if you like. The codes for your banner will be e-mailed to you. The codes are for websites, forums, links, etc. An excellent banner maker website!

My Banner Maker

At My Banner Maker, there are eight banners to choose from. You have a choice of solid or gradient background. You can also select nice fonts here. The good thing about the fonts is that the font style or design is displayed in the sample instead of the font name. So you can change to the one you like instantly rather than browse the font list for hours before finding the right one. You can also change the border width and color as well as add special effects such as glitter text, blinking text, black and white, blur, negative, edge detect, plastic wrap, brighten, and darken. You really have to explore these effects for yourself to know what they all mean. You have a choice of creating a normal banner, or forum banner, or MySpace banners. A cool tool!

Pimp My Profile

What I like about Pimp My Profile is that you can customize your banner size completely. You can also change the background color, border color and width, and lots of fonts to choose from. Some of the fonts are unusual too. If you prefer your own background image, you can also upload it here and customize the text. You will then be given the HTML code for your website or blog header and BB Code for forums. There are many other generators on Pimp My Profile. There are layout generators for various social networking sites such as MySpace, Hi5 and Friendster. In fact there is a whole section of generators especially for MySpace users which includes extended network banner, MySpace layout snatcher, comment box generator and auto bulletin. Besides this, there are other graphic generators such as flash slideshow, shadow text, glitter text generators. This is a fantastic website to create your own banners and other cool stuff!

Banner Fans

If you want to write more than two to three lines on your banner, go to Banner Fans. Here you can create up to six lines of text. You have a choice of a solid or gradient background or even upload your own image for the background. You can also customize the border designs with solid, dashed, double solid or double dashed designs. Shadows and effects can also be created. You can simply download the banner image created or get the codes for MySpace header, your websites, blogs or even forums.

Quick Banner

At Quick Banner, you can only customize one line of text. If you want more lines, you have to use other banner generators. You can change the font color and size. You can also customize the font style. Similar to My Banner Maker, the font style is displayed rather than the font name, which makes it easier for you to select the best font for your banner. The second step is to choose a free banner template from their collection. Unfortunately, there is not much templates to choose from. Nevertheless, you can still create a nice-looking banner here.

Banner Break

At Banner Break, you have a selection of banners to choose from. You can then customize one line of text unfortunately. You can change the font type and size, slant it at an angle, create a text outline and shadow. The banners created can be used for forums, websites, blogs and MySpace extended network banner.

The best part about all these banner maker sites is that they are all free and easy to create. Have fun creating your own banners for your websites or ads!

Making Website Marketing Work for You

"For more information, go to our website." You've read that often enough. Marketing through websites allow you to provide more information of your brand messages. In other words, website marketing expands what you want your customers to know about your brand and what your brand can offer. It empowers your customers with brand knowledge and allows for avenues of feedback and discussion. Website marketing draws customers into a world of interactivity. It's this two-way communication which makes this form of marketing unique and appealing to customers.

See for Yourself

Not only can you provide information of your brand on the website, you can also include visuals of your brand, promotional ads and instructional videos of your new products. It's a great way to encourage customers to "see-and-feel" the brand for themselves, heighten their awareness and develop an understanding of what your brand can do. Say you have a new product, like the latest digital camera that has the specs comparable to an SLR. You want to showcase what the camera can do before the product launch. You can include a review of this new camera with a demo video to showcase the camera's functions and types of photographs the camera can take.

Being Included

Website marketing also provides the opportunity to build online communities - a place where customers can feel belonged. Besides participating in discussions, participants of online communities also build relationships with one another. Just think about it. Online communities are like mini global villages. People from all over the world who are hooked up on the internet can come together regardless of geography, nationality or culture to take part in your brand discussion. What better way than this to build brand loyalty on a global scale.

How Can We Help?

Need help? A great way to engage your customers is providing a link to customer service. By providing a useful online helpdesk, which should be responsive and informative, reflects on how much you care about helping your customers and providing customer satisfaction. A list of FAQs, contact details and email address are a must so that customers know how to get in touch with you. One advice though, never let your customers wait for more than 24 hours to get a response. The more responsive you are, the better you can keep your customers coming back.

How to Generate More Traffic to any Website

Whether you have a blog, personal page, or business website, you need more traffic! Website traffic is simply defined as the amount of people who visit your site. You may have the best site and content in the world, but without a considerable amount of traffic, your website is utterly useless.

The question is, how much traffic do you need? The answer depends on the kind of website or online presence you have. People with personal pages and blogs for non commercial purposes may be contented with their friends and family visiting their site. But for online marketers and business bloggers, they rely on a huge amount of traffic in order to get visitors, leads, prospects, customers, and revenue from their websites.

Regardless of your reasons for generating traffic, here are some success secrets on how you can turn your site into a well visited, winning site.

Know Your Audience

And I mean, know them very much! If you don't know your audience, you will not be able to decide on what particular promotional approach to use. For example, your website is about weight loss, then you should research on the popular topics that appeal to weight loss enthusiasts. Then, make that information available on your site! This will ensure that future visitors of your site will enjoy your content and come back for more.

Know The Movement Of Your Target Crowd

You should discover where your target crowd frequently goes. What sites do they regularly visit? For example, your website is about network marketing and your target crowd consists of people who are interested in earning extra money. Then you should discover the top forums, blogs, social networking sites, chatrooms that these people visit! Create a user buzz in your category of interest by contributing articles, participating in discussions, and exchanging links in those key sites.

Know The Popular Keywords in Your Field Of Interest

This might take some time to discover, but it will do you good for the long term traffic. Take a look at sites and forums with a similar topic to your site. Which articles and posts get more views than the others? What words and phrases do they have in common? As you gain more knowledge and expertise in your particular niche (or topic) online, you will be aware of the popular keywords that generate user interest and attract the search engines faster. For example, in the personal development niche, one of the most popular keywords are "success secrets". So if you have a site that's related to self-help or personal development, make sure you include those words in your keyword list. Then use that phrase repeatedly in the content of your website. This will attract more web users, and yes, search engines. More traffic.

Use MySpace and Social Networking Sites To Your Advantage

This step is really easy. Sign up to Myspace for free. Create an attractive profile, then post your website links and some of your sample articles there. Then, invite more Myspace friends. As you go along building your friends list, people also see your website link too! That could also generate more traffic! There are many ways you can generate a horde of traffic through social networking sites, and I will discuss that in future articles.

Moving Forward

Yesterday, I decided to quit posting on a writing board. It took me four hours to compose a response and answer a question. This included writing the article, editing several times, listening to it with my favorite speaker from Natural Voices-Mel, editing and adding again, completing and posting it. After I finished, the time came to continue my novel.
But my energy vaporized.

Talk about an epiphany. I knew right there, my posting on the boards needed to end. To assist this realization another poster, who contradicts everything I say, leaped with her agenda. My fault, I know. I called her self-serving a month ago. I hate book doctors. I make no excuse for my distaste and failed to hide it.
Yes, I know.

I bid farewell on another thread, expecting nothing. But a different poster, who I ignored after his internet temper tantrum, posted first and flamed. For three months, this same person never posted anything toward me. Respectful, we ignored each other. Or so I thought.
Jaded? Perhaps, but the level of cowardice in this amazed me. In my farewell post, this guy takes the opportunity to get one last dig? The book doctor jumped on it as well, both feeding off the other's retorts like parasites. This made me realize, as I smiled and shook my head, how thick my skin grew after many months. Strange thing.

It also told me I made the right choice to stop posting there. Others did wish me well and thanked me for the various advice I gave. I will always appreciate those writers. But I wondered-why the animosity?

In Purple Slinky, YouTube, the VN Boards, etc., I see this repeated for other people as well. I don't get it. Are posters that jealous, insecure, and bitter? These same people avoid confrontation in real life, but make it their place to stroke the flames behind Internet anonymity.

Why?

It also made me realize the reason professional writers don't post on internet forums with their real names: It becomes open season for the cowards.
Again, another epiphany.

I wrote this article for me and to close that chapter in my writing career. Another lesson learned, another step to become a fulltime novelist. Once day, I want to look back at this article and see how naïve I was. I want it to remind me how far I journeyed from those innocent beginnings. No regrets, no turning back.

Moving forward.

Tips On How to Promote MyLot

MyLot by far is a great program for blogging and making threads. A great site to meet new people and to make friends. For how many methods and strategies there is to make earnings using Mylot.

I use these tips all the time and it works for me. So then this can work for you. Anything is possible to gain referrals.

MySpace

MySpace has a blog section you can post your Mylot referral ads. But do not post them on your profile or leave them as a bulletin or message - As usual that's forbidden, so the trick and secret is to post it only as a blog. Invite many many friends from Myspace - get to know them at first and until they are comfortable then refer them to read you blogs like saying "If you're serious into making money on the internet, feel free to check my blogs - it is the thing to do nowadays."

Friendster

Similar to MySpace but the same method follows, don't post Mylot referral links on your profile, do not bulletin it or do not message them to your friends. Post it only as a blog.

Yuwie

You can check my site for more info about Yuwie. For one it is also like MySpace & Friendster but of course this site pays it users and of course using this site you can also gain many referrals. Now back to the topic it's a little bit different here - because you can post your Mylot referral links in your profile, message them to your friends or post them as blogs and it is easier to create a club in Yuwie about MyLot and have members or non members to join. Be creative and start sharing tips and helpful information why Mylot is a great site to join into making money on the internet.

Blogpost Sites

This is a big key factor into getting referrals as well. Post it as a blog and give a advertisement reason why to join MyLot.

Big Crumbs

This is a bigger advantage of gaining many referrals to MyLot likewise with Yuwie. The purpose of Big Crumbs is that you get to advertise free referrals also it's kind of like eBay because you can promote items there you sale online or even refer people to other sites to buy items or even shop online from other users. But the key is to gain referrals which is a bigger advantage.

And of course invite your relatives, families, friends that you know. This is a great and fun site as you all already know. The key factor of course is active referral members that use this system. If you're getting the point about how it works put it this way - When you have active referrals in MyLot - you get bonus earnings from them when they participate using MyLot.

It's always been like that as well with any other paying site. The more referrals, the more they're active, the more bonus earnings are added to your account.

So then I hope you all do well into gaining referrals and also grow in the Mylot community. Happy MyLotting!

The Internet is a Serious Business

I've never accepted the popular view on online interaction that it's somehow less meaningful because you're not person-to-person, face to face, and I think a lot of the foundations of these arguments are severely unstable.

Let's begin with the issue of identity. There's millions of cases of mistaken or false identity over the internet, so much so that it's evident in almost every active community like one I've observed on a gaming forum. It's very simple to imitate another person's behavior, assume a person's identity, or create an entirely new person. There are a plethora of people who act differently than their "true" nature outside of the forum around "regular people" (as if people are less real because you're connected through a machine).

We're confronted with this issue of identity often and forming bonds of trust and friendship become less stable as the person or persons are more cautious of the information they release and the connections they make. This caution barrier set up between your emotions and the people surrounding you takes away from the person you really are - you're holding back, and thus you are just as guilty of falsifying your image as any other person pretending to be something they are not.

Further problems arise when we question why a person does this. What is it that motivates a person to not be them self? Those who detach themselves from interactive situations could find that because it's so easy to do, they should. These are the people most often found posting and acting out for "shock" value to stir up emotions among people who supposedly care more than the instigator themselves. Perhaps a person chooses to act differently because they want to mask an insecurity or flaw of there's, or emphasize one of their better qualities. This often relates to physical appearance, posting pictures of people who're not you.

While a person's intentions and motivations are not always clear for socially detaching them self and accepting notions that ideas are less valid, relationships are disposable by the click of an X, or that people are less real, it is an ironic backfire that occurs when someone chooses to act like this.

By believing in the notions stated above, you've allowed yourself ample room to cruise the internet carefree, trolling and causing mischief under the pretenses that nothing you do matters - that nothing anybody does matters. However, it would seem that the amount of effort made to create a persona or character for you to play exceeds the amount of effort of the member with 5,000 posts who is just the person he appears to be. It's far more simple to be yourself and act and think and interact with people as you would normally had you met them face to face in a club or something, than it is to act differently for the sake of causing mischief.

The issue of identity brings about the issue of instability. The issue of instability is the unpredictability one another person's actions and responses to the development of a friendship. People are just as real regardless of how they're encountered. In fact, one's negation of the serious potential to make connections fails to realize the exceptional potential for world-wide encounters and experiences. Thanks to forums like our own, the most trivial and severe information can be distributed for tens of thousands of viewers; our peers are no longer geographically limited, and everything from ideas, wisdom, skills, to emotions can be expressed on a far larger scale.

Furthermore, when in a social community environment, like a forum, members can often be found taking initiative to research topics, learn information being taught, engage in debates varying from what's going on in politics to what's going on with religion and science. It is this motivation that allows a child or teenager to nourish more elements in life's experiences that they will later encounter. When people fail to take “teh internetz srsly”, they fail to take advantage of amazing opportunities to advance their knowledge, skills, social development, and relationships.

How many new people from all across the country or nation have you met and made some kind of bond of friendship? I don't even have to mention any of this to members with over a years experience on any forum, who've generated thousands of posts.

I've ranted long enough, so I'll let this go on now. I mean, look how serious I'm being?

Guide to Posting Images

Step One

Find what you want to take a screenshot of. Press the Print Screen button on your keyboard. If you're using a normal keyboard, the Print Screen button will be directly to the right of the F12 button.

Step Two

Open a picture editing program. The most basic and easiest one to use is Microsoft Paint. Once you have opened your program, press the Ctrl button and the V button at the same time. Ctrl + V is a shortcut to be able to use the option "Paste". Edit your picture in any way you want, and then save it in a .png format.

Step Three

Go to a website such as Picable, Photobucket or Imageshack. For the sake of time, I'll be using Imageshack in this demonstration. On the Imageshack homepage, you'll see a button labeled browse. Click it.

Step Four

Locate where you saved your picture from earlier. The most common place to save a picture is "Desktop - > My Documents -> My Pictures". Click on your picture and then click the open button. The location of your file should now be in the blank space beside browse. Look down a little ways and then click the "Host It!" button.

Step Five

Your image should now be uploading. After it's done uploading, you will see a couple of URL's on the page. If you're planning on placing the image on a forum, copy the "Direct link to image" URL and then go to your post. Above the text box, you will see a button labeled "IMG". Click it and then Paste (Ctrl + V) your Url into the box.

Congratulations. Now when you post, your image will show up in your post.

Have you ever wanted to go on
eBay
and try to bid on an item, only to lose track of it and lose? Or have you ever gone on a forum and make a post that got a lot of views, but somehow got deleted just so you have to start over?

Well, this guide will help you with both of those and much more, depending on your needs. All that is required is an Internet connection and the Opera web browser. To download the Opera web browser, navigate to
Opera.com

Once you're on a page, right click -> Reload Every -> Custom and enter the time you'd like before it refreshes again. These times start after the age loads, so you can view the content whilst waiting for it to reload.

Hopefully you've enjoyed this tutorial!
