Online Marketing

I am into online money-making right now. I am not making a big amount everyday but I can say that I am having fun doing this. I can meet friends around the globe and we all have one goal. To earn money. And nobody should deny the truth.

I used to have 9 - 5 job, but it didn't do me any good although it helped me to grow as a person, I have learned how to deal with other people. I have learned how to operate office equipments and let's be honest! not everyone of us got the chance to learn how to operate office equipments, oh, come on! I for one. I was never given a chance in my college to touch any of the office equipments. Because my classmates would always wanted to be the first one to have the privilege.

I resigned from my work because we found out that the company wasn't fair enough to the employees. so I have decided to quit and never turned back. That made me thought of making money online. Why not?! If others can do it, why can't I?

But to be honest, again! I am very new to this online marketing and I am still in a learning process. Everyday is becoming more interesting for me. And I am so eager to know what the secrets of online marketing are. I don't wanna be rich... But I wanna earn a good bucks. And in online money making, there is no boss but yourself! You will decide what time you want to start working and when you wanna stop. You can have a coffee break anytime you want. No supervisor is gonna tell you, "Hey! go back to work!" ....

In online marketing, you are the boss. You will decide what is the best thing to do to make a good profit in one year. And on my part, I am trying to earn at least a little amount of money and I know I can make it big one day!

Making Money Online

With the advent of the Internet, it has become possible for countless people to stay at home and earn a living online. While it is certainly true that some are making a comfortable living on the Internet, the reality is that there are many more who are spending hours, days, weeks and months trying to make their fortune through one online program or another.

Pennies

While some had dreams of making their fortune, giving up their job and living their lives on sun-drenched beaches, it hasn't quite worked out like that for many. Some people have been in more online programs than I have had hot dinners, constantly seeking the golden opportunity that will set them up for life. Sadly, they find that while they do earn, it is only pennies that will make no real difference to their lives.

A popular move for many online dreamers is to join MLM schemes that prove to be highly profitable for those who run it but not for those who pay money to join. There are just so many "opportunities" out there to join the latest blockbuster MLM that is going to make you a millionaire. Some of them operate a system where you can pre-enroll before paying your cash and this usually results in receiving endless emails telling you that yet another person has enrolled under you. In order to get the benefit of this, you need to pay up to become a full member. Problem is that those enrolling under you are doing exactly the same as you. They are unpaid enrollees who have no intention of forking out their cash

Realism

The key to earning cash online is realism. Recognize that it is unlikely you will earn a fortune simply by joining a program. Making money usually involves hard work and does not come easy. Find a way to supplement your income rather than chasing the impossible dream and trying to replace it. If that happens in the future, good and well. If not, at least you will have earned something that will make your time spent online worthwhile.

Writing online is one way to make some cash even though it will never make you rich. Writing for websites like Triond, Helium or Associated Content is one way to earn some extra cash, accepting that it is not going to result in giving up your day job. Is it possible to make money online? The answer is yes. However, we need to be realistic and accept that the money we earn will generally supplement rather than replace our present income.

Earning Online as a Job

There are many "paid to" sites available today. But can it really be a substitute for a real job. Well there are advantages like having your own time or having many breaks when you want to. But, when you trade it for a real job its called laziness. Just think about it, just staying at home making money will not improve your social life.

You will also be like a fugitive inside your house. After you earn the money, the tendency is you will also just buy your necessities online. Plus, you will not be able to experience how worth it, it is to have a hard earned money. So make earning online just a extra work if you want to earn extra money. Don't always rely on it.

Blogging Doesn't Count as a Job?

When I first retired, just a year ago, two of my goals were to complete my memoirs and to write a novel. The memoirs have languished so far; just random bits and pieces of memories-some painful-set down on paper but not organized, and nowhere near completion. I wrote the novel-in thirty days-when, along with several thousand other "writers," I participated in National Novel Writing Month in November 2007. Those 50,000 words, although a complete story, still need lots of editing. I've barely begun that process and it has been several months now.

I have long deluded myself that I was deprived of the joy of writing because of my career and family priorities. Procrastination was the real reason. Whether fear of failure or fear of success, I never pushed myself to get to work. I would finally have the time when I retired-that was my plan.

So now, each morning in retirement, I first complete all my chores around the house so I can get to the computer. I sign in with the best of intentions to write something "good" but first I check e-mails, review counter "hits" on blogs, read private messages on social sites. See what my "friends" and "favorites" have been saying and doing (which usually doesn't amount to much more than what I am saying and doing). What am I doing? Has this become my job?

Originally, joining social networking sites and blogging was just kind of the cool thing to do because you see others doing it. (Now doesn't that sound like something teenagers do?) So, one blog leads to another, one social site membership leads to another. Before long, I started to feel like all my time was being spent in front of the computer. Wow. That sounds a lot like my job before I retired. And that's it, partly. Isn't it? Wanting to feel like you have something to accomplish every day? In retirement, I thing many of us fight the feeling of uselessness, of not contributing anymore. And as blogging and social networking begins to take up more and more of my time, I start to think of it as my job. Just wasting time? I wonder.

My wife wonders too, first of all, why I would want to share my life and thoughts with "just anyone" out in the world. Secondly, she wonders why anyone "out there" would care? Who reads these blog "things" she asks? And I reply that I don't know. "Just other people like me, I guess. People with too much time on their hands, or folks who make believe, as I am, that they are actually accomplishing something." So as I have second thoughts about how I am spending the hours and days of my life...here in late middle age...wow, I am 61...perhaps it is fortunate for me that I have a spouse who cares, who questions, who challenges, who doesn't just walk away and let me sit here, day after day, with the remaining days of my life. We do deserve more.

I live in one of the best places in the country. So now I have resolved to get outside and do something active every day. I will schedule fitness into my routine. I have many home do-it-myself projects that need doing. I have grandchildren to take on hikes, and adult sons to take camping and flyfishing and golfing. So I must limit my participation in Facebook, MySpace, WindowsLive, Gaia, Blogger, Eons, YouTube, Blurb, Pageflakes, Popfly, Yahoo360, iGoogle, Buzzdash, Mahalo and Wiki(anything). Can you imagine? Look at all these "sites!" That's where my life is spent. ("Spent" is a good word here, if you think about it.) I don't think there is anything wrong with participating in any of these sites; but if THIS IS ALL I DO-well, I'm not "doing" much.

No more soft life just sitting around for me. I will be working harder on living hard.

Making Friends on the Internet

The internet has become the new Super Highway for information. You can now send and receive messages in almost no time at all. You can talk to people all around the world, share photos, writings, even meet people and grow new friendships that last a lifetime. Do you remember the days of snail mail? You would wait weeks sometimes months for a letter from a pen pal. Then it would come and the excitement within you would be boiling over because you finally got the mail. You would sit glued to the new letter reading and treasuring every last detail contained within it. I know, I sure do remember. But I also remember the let down as well because the advice or moment you were trying to share was long over by the time your friends received that precious letter you sent them.

The internet has rocketed forwards and what we once thought to be a great achievement of modern day technology has now become the dinosaur, yes a thing of the past. Businesses are being created and ran from home using computers and web sites all by means of this wonderful modern day technological advancement called the internet. The internet has bridged the gap and has eliminated the walls and miles that separate so many. With but a click of the mouse you can join and inform the entire world of news in a nana second. You can start your cam and within but a very few moments see your friends and talk with them almost as if you were sitting in their room with them.

If I were asked though what the internet has done for me and how has it changed my life? I would have to say, it has helped me to help others as well as myself. It has given me yet another family of great new friends. Friends that are always willing to sit and talk. Friends that share parts of their hearts with me that no other has seen. It has given me my life mate. It has taken me to all four corners of the world; giving me the tools and the means to see and reach deep into the hearts and mindsets of others. The internet has also brought me together with people of like mind and by doing so it has helped me to move forward on the walk of life I've chosen.

It has helped me to research many things and to catalog the results of my research. Yes, the internet has shown me that great endings often have small beginnings. It has become an ongoing educational part of my life and has helped me pass on the knowledge of my lifetime and the lessons I've learned along the way. Yes, for me the internet is a wonderful new concept.

Turn the Internet Into Cash

The internet is presenting many opportunities, more people are turning to the internet to make cash. This means that there are thousands of web sites. Before you can have an internet home business you need to register a domain name that is why there is a business in selling domain names.

More people are coming to the internet looking for work. This means it is getting harder to find a reasonable domain name. You need to find a name that is catchy and simple. Every business wants a name that corresponds to their business and is displayed in as few words as possible. But it is becoming harder to find simple domain names.

The beauty of getting a domain name is that there is no limit to how many you can buy. So, more people are snatching up several names for a low price. Then, instead of using these names they go out and sell them for a much higher price then what they had purchased them for. Hence, making money!

There are many methods you can go about making this into an internet home business. The most basic way is to find a domain web site like Go Daddy and sell your name. There are people out there that would love to have the name you have to offer. You can list the domain on sites similar to this and it will be up and running. People can then scroll through the list of available domain and buy them from you.

You can also post the name into an auction, somewhat, like, how ebay works. From there you can sit back and watch the price of your name rise up.

The last option you have is to actually build a web site and sell domain names from it. The more domain names you have to offer, the better chance you having with success.

Bloggers Beware: Social Networking Can be Hazardous to Your Career

These days, blogs can be found with topics ranging from news, pop culture, commentary, causes or even specific trades. There are literally millions of blogs on the Internet.

For most, blogging is considered a hobby, something that is done within the conveniences of personal time. Sometimes this hobby leads to a small profitable business on the side, but generally speaking, blogging is used to exercise creative freedom of expression.

Unfortunately, blogging is not understood by all and some may be shocked or upset upon discovery of a blog. This labor of love and expression could also be hazardous to your career ultimately leading to unemployment. The number of individuals discharged for hosting a blog site continually grows each day.

Instead of giving up this satisfying right, blogging should be done with caution. In order to avoid unmerited retaliation discretion is advised. One of the best ways to maintain discretion is to blog anonymously. By omitting personal information from a blog site such as name, photos and specific “inside” details the blog creator successfully balances expression with privacy. But anonymity goes further than just personal information. If complete confidentially is imperative, than concealing the computer's IP address is crucial. Another method for successfully maintaining equilibrium between employment and blogging is to never blog at work. Blogging should only be conducted on personal time. Updating a blog site while at work, even during lunch can be a sure fire detriment to ones career. Lastly, never use company property to update a blog. Resources such as a computer, or internet connection are the intellectual property of the employer and using those could lead to trouble.

These days, blogs are getting quite a bit of attention. Blogging should be an enjoyable, creative purge and this right should not be hazardous to your career. In order to avoid receiving a pink slip blog anonymously in a smart and cautious manner.

Avoiding Craigslist Job Scams

Identifying Scams

Use of the dollar sign in the title of the job:

The word “Yours in the job title:

Odd characters in the title

Increasing Your Chances

You should stay away from job postings that have a full page of details if it's not a very technical position. Postings that have lots of details are typically posted on other job sites such as Monster.

If you're looking for freelance work, it's best to reply to postings that only have a line or two of a description. It's even better if there are a couple of typos. That way you know that it's a real person looking for real help. They don't copy and paste a job description into Craig's List.

Dealing with Scams

In order to help other people who are also looking for jobs, if you come across a scam, please flag is as either prohibited or spam/overpost.

The Best Way to Earn with Paid Content

If you're on this site, you probably already know the deal with paid content. You write original content and in exchange for making money off you, various sites offer to split the advertising revenues with you. There are three major sites which do this, none of which are scams: Triond, Helium, and Associated Content. This article will give you the steps you need to get the maximum earnings possible from each.

Check
Helium
. They have the most restrictions in that their articles must be an answer to a question. They are the least profitable, also, so you may just end up using their questions and debates for article ideas.

Write your article. Make it at least 400 words and try to do a decent job on it. Write on something popular and interesting. Popularity of various search terms can be found on Triond's homepage.

Submit your article to
Triond
. They are the only site which requires that they have the first publication of your article.

Wait for approval. Triond should approve or reject your article within two days. Even if they reject it you can still submit it to the other sites.

After you're approved submit your article to
Associated Content
as non-exclusive, and to Helium. If you find that Helium and Triond don't pay as much as you'd like, you can submit to Associated Content as exclusive. Be aware, however, that that means you can't use that content anywhere else, ever.

DiY. If you open up your own blog and write about this experience of writing articles, or post your own articles, you may be able to meet the requirements of paid blogging sites and/or Google AdSense. With those gigs you have far greater earning opportunity.
