5. WebMD- Do you have strange symptoms but not want to go to the doctor because you're strapped for cash? Well, if you're really sick maybe you should just go and pay, but if it is a little less serious or you're just curious about what could cause certain symptoms and how to treat them click over to WebMD. WebMD has too much information to outline all of it in a paragraph, just rest assured that nearly anything you could want to know about illnesses and drugs can be found via a simple search. If your cold medicine isn't working as effective as you want it to, why not check WebMD for other medications that might treat it more effectively? Heck, it's worth a shot!

A very creative idea by an aspiring YouTube video maker is very funny. Although I do recommend this to your friends if non of them are easily offended, women, or can't take jokes. I can definitely see why this video is so popular. It has a nice, catchy beat, very well written lyrics, and a perfect singer for the song.

Normal Instant Messaging Conversation

Believe it or not, this video was made by that young guy in the video. I don't think he is even legal enough to drive! Anyways, I really laughed when I first saw this video, and to this day it is still making me chuckle every time I see it. I really think that this video, and the kid making it, deserves way more veiws for this hilarious video.

This video just puzzles me. The title of this article is "Top YouTube Videos Sweeping the Internet," but I never said they were going to be funny or entertaining. I dont understand why this video even has more than 10 views. I guess it is just one of those popular internet memes that catches like wildfire and everyone uses them.

Easily one of the best, if not the best YouTube video ever made. This funny, yet realistic portrayal of the evolution of dance hits the nail on the head. Really, I wouldn't be surprised if this guy makes it in Hollywood. He has some serious talent. I can't begin to imagine how he got over 100 million veiws. Oh wait, I can. That video is freaking hilarious!

How to Use Internet to Record Your Health Goals

By setting specific measures on your goals and accurately tracking your performance each day, you reinforce the changes to your health and well-being (like incorporating healthy choices and maintaining a positive mental attitude) and make it easy to refer to when you need to revise goals. Jotting down notes related to your activity is also helpful. For example, did you feel especially hungry on a given day? Tired? Angry? Were certain exercises extremely difficult to do, or was a certain activity impossible to continue because of fatigue? Knowing what worked for you and what didn't can help you plan a more realistic and successful plan.

One easy way to keep track of your diet and exercise is online at a Web site like FitDay or MyFoodDiary, which is only $9 per month. The Web site MapMyRun allows you to map your biking or jogging routes and change them and save them according to the distance. If you want something that you can hold in your hand that's already laid out for you, a company called BodyMinder sells journals for recording anything related to exercise and diet. Look in the fitness section in any bookstore for different choices to see what fits your needs best.

The Bait

Anyone knows how to fish? You put bait on a hook, tight to a rod and toss it into the sea or river and wait for the fish to be caught. If you are a good fisherman, and know what type of bait you need for a type of fish to be caught, the fish will be caught very easily.
Now a day, good bait for people is known as "Money". For many persons money is vital and not very easily to gain. You have to go for work, make a full time and part time job. If you have a family, you have to make many sacrifices and at times, you only see your children just when they wake up and when they are already sleeping in their bed. We are full of debts, paying the bills and trying to save money for the future of our family. It is not easy to do so in this modern life. Every day, life is becoming more expensive.

Many are searching for an easy way of gaining money and here many are caught by the bait. People using the internet, will think that it is the best way to make money effortlessly from the comfort of their home. Now a day, there are many website programmers that make a good design to bait the people by a wonderful well created program that promises thousands of Dollars in a month. For example, few days ago I came across a very well made website, which promises online work of data entry from your home. Yeah I study it, and it had even a demo to see how it really works. After I read throughout and tried the demo, I decided to give it a try. I send the money and as it was written after 24 hours I received the e-mail to activate the work.

I was really happy, because as they say I begun to work from my room, as it was like the demo I tried. I made 3 days, 5 hours a day typing. There was something strange, the work was just to type an article in a format to write it in Microsoft office format without making any type of mistake, like full stops, comas, and more. While I was writing I noticed that the articles have many grammatical errors and missing full stops and comas. I thought that something is wrong. I checked about the website on other websites, I search discussions on forums and I search help from websites I am member of.

I found that the website was a well programmed scam. Yeah it works, you work for 2 months and at last you will never get paid. You will danger your health by making hours in front of a computer, much more the eyes for nothing, you will lose money, because you have to pay in advance for the company to send you the activation to begun to work and at last you feel that someone else got your money, you work for two whole months for nothing.

The moral is that whenever you try something that it is too good to be true, just do not stop on the website itself, but make more research on other websites and forums. Do not be fooled as I had been.

Do You Know Your Thirteen-Year-Old's "Stripper Name"?

Facebook
makes me feel popular. Not only can cynical people now see proof that I actually have friends, but they can count them, too.

I get kinky messages from odd looking middle aged men. Their knowledge of both anatomy and colloquial adjectives is quite enlightening.

However, I take great joy in clicking on the "report message" link and feel a huge amount of satisfaction at knowing that I did my bit to conquer evil in this world.

Social networking sites give the shy an opportunity to socialize without having to make eye contact, and the bold the opportunity to post incriminating photos of their roommate after too many cocktails. Are these good or bad tools for social growth?

The applications that people choose on these sites tell a lot about them. Yet I'm still confused about my thirteen-year-old cousin's choice of “What stripper name are you?” because really, she's far too intelligent to aspire to a career in which she wraps herself around a pole for a living.

In fact, many aspects of social networking sites just aren't suitable for minors. For starters, the sheer addictiveness of these sites is a concern.

Alcohol and cigarettes are addictive. For teenagers they provide a brief high and an elevated social status. These substances carry the weight of side effects and withdrawal symptoms.

Social networking sites provide the same brief high and social status. But what are the withdrawal symptoms?

I know personally that some of the side-effects of using these sites aren't all that good. I don't get much exercise any more, because instead of going for a walk-and-talk with a friend, I lounge on the couch with my laptop and chat with them online.

My grammar has degraded. Chat language can be viewed from two angles. My grandmother's “My word! Is it in secret code? What is happening to the English language?” opinion, or the “i wuv chattin wiv u” opinion of my barely teenage cousin.

It seems, as with all the good things such as booze, nicotine and gambling, a certain limitation of time spent and content viewed on online networking sites is necessary for minors. Physical exercise and human contact is in fact important, as is learning to read and react to body language in social situations.

Most important for teenagers, though, is learning to deal maturely with difficult social situations. Online, dealing with harassment or insults is easy. You report the person and block them. But in real life, you can't just click a button and make the person disappear. People need to learn social boundaries and etiquette, and how to deal with awkward situations face to face.

I could ramble on about parent responsibility and vigilance, but I won't. I'm not a parent, but I know if I had a moody adolescent on my hands, I'd be more than happy to let them sit quietly in front of a computer for a few hours every evening and fool myself into believing that they are learning valuable social and computer literacy skills.

I wouldn't ask questions about what they're doing, because I'd rather not know that they are enjoying the latest “What's your sexual personality?” quiz and chatting with odd looking middle aged men. “HI!? my stripper names bambi!!! wats urs?!”

Because social interaction comes in many forms, and if I had children; I'd rather have my blossoming daughter right where I can see her, instead of out there somewhere doing healthy teenage stuff like kissing boys, sneaking into x-rated horror films, smoking cigarettes and breaking her curfew.

So how sociable are social networking sites like Facebook?

It depends on whether you are susceptible to developing addictive behavior or not, and mature enough to realize that excessive online social networking can lead to antisocial behavior in the physical world.

Choose your friends wisely - they will make or break you. ~ J. Willard Marriott

Choose your Facebook applications wisely -your stripper name may be used against you. ~ Catherine South

The Stressful Art of Blogging

A recent New York Times news report drew attention to the fact that bloggers are a population who might not realize that they are vulnerable to stress-related health problems. Pointing to three fatal (or near-fatal) heart problems faced by high-profile bloggers in recent months, the article got accused by many of being sensational. However, when the exaggerations are cleared away, what we're left with is some cold, hard evidence that the growing population of people who make their money from web writing may be engaging in practices that are harmful to their health.

What Causes Bloggers to Stress Out?

Bloggers are compromising their health primarily because of the stress that blogging causes for their lives. There are several different sources of that stress and the levels obviously vary amongst bloggers. However, common complaints from bloggers about the sources of their stress include:

Financial concerns. Bloggers usually make their money based on the number of people who visit their posts. This can make some months pretty lean which puts the burden of paying bills on the front burner for a blogger's concerns.

Overwork. Bloggers who want to get the latest scoop - or who need to turn out a whole lot of posts to pay those aforementioned bills - frequently work much longer hours than a writer at an office job would work. In fact, since their work is online and their laptops are almost always with them, some that bloggers never really stop working.

Family and social stress. The overworking situation frequently leads to problems with relationships because of the fact that the average friend or family member doesn't understand that when the blogger is “messing around on the computer”, he or she is working.

In other words, bloggers are stressed out by the same thing that anyone who works too much is stressed out by. They need to find a balance between work and the rest of life in order to reduce that stress.

Differences in Blogging Stress Levels

Not all bloggers feel stressed out by the work that they do. In fact, some bloggers say that their posts are a relief to them, not a source of stress. So what causes some people to experience stress when writing for the web and others to deal with it seemingly without problems? There are a few major differences between stressed-out bloggers and those who aren't. Some of those differences are:

Full-time vs. occasional bloggers. People who work at blogging full time get stressed out because they are relying solely on blogging for their income. Part-time or occasional bloggers blog for the joy of writing, not the money, so they aren't as stressed out by the work.

High-stress topic areas. Some areas of blogging are naturally more stressful than others. People who blog about news, politics and technology developments tend to have high stress levels because they have to be online more frequently than someone who blogs about a non-immediate topic such as blogging itself.

Self-esteem issues. Bloggers often face comments from people on the web who are, frankly, pretty nasty. Someone who has trouble with self-esteem is more likely to take that to heart and get stressed out than someone who is able to let those comments roll off their backs.

Passion for the work. A blogger who loves blogging and who also loves the topic she blogs about is going to naturally be less stressed than someone who fell into blogging and doesn't really love it.

Identifying the differences in blogging stress levels may help bloggers to recognize where the problem areas are in this business in order to reduce the stress they experience.

Reducing Blogging Stress

How each individual reduces the stress associated with blogging depends upon the specific cause of their blogging stress. If the problem is overwork, they may reduce blogging stress by hiring help or simply cutting back on hours. If the problem is financial strain, they might take on a part-time job or do additional web writing to relieve the pressure. (For further tips on reducing blogging stress, read this helpful article.) As a basic rule, the goal is to restore the balance between blogging and the rest of life. Everything in moderation, so they say.

The CDC Creates E-cards

When you think about the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), images of wide-spread viruses or other diseases enter your mind. Why? Usually, you only hear about them when the public is under threat of some wide-spread, disastrous illness like AIDS, ebola or the super bug. It makes everyone forget that the CDC acts as a health agent in general for the public.

This agency is constantly looking for new ways to help the general public stay and get healthy. Now, they've concocted a new way to do it using modern day technology and a timeless tradition. The CDC has created its own brand of e-cards.

These e-cards allow the CDC to continue their role in promoting the general health of the public. It's part of a comprehensive program that compliments their current website and pamphlets. All of these avenues give the user information on a variety of subjects related to health. Yet, the e-cards are the most specific.

The e-cards created by the CDC are free, colorful and multi-ethnic. They're also geared towards people of every age. However, within all of this diversity, they have one focus - a specific health topic that threatens the general public.

Out of the 12 available e-cards, in general, you can get three main messages. First, get vaccinated for the flue. Second, quit smoking. And, third, stay healthy in 2008. The last and final message is a reminder about World Aid's Day.

The messages come in cute catch-phrases on the cover of the cards. However, once the receiver opens them up, they have links to CDC pages that give specific information on how to stay healthy and/or about the specific health topic. The web page regarding general health gives details on how to stay warm, stress-free and clean in order to keep yourself healthy throughout the holiday season and also in 2008.	All you have to do is "scroll" down to the data and "click."

The great news about these e-cards is that you can send them to yourself and also friends. You can even add your own message. It's an easy way to end the holiday season on a positive note and start 2008 on a healthy one.

Check out the CDC's latest production. Then, pick out one that suits you and a few people you know who need to stay or get healthy. It'll be the best new year's greeting you've sent in a long time.

How to Check Out Warning E-mails

We've all had them, those doom-laden emails warning of this or that danger to your health, safety or finances.

For Example:

The one about the people lurking in supermarket and gas station car parks, offering cheap perfumes that knock you out when you take a sniff, and they then rob you while you're unconscious, and goodness knows what else! False

The one about the Life is Beautiful Virus, which comes in an email and wipes out your PC if you open it is: False.

The Invitation/Olympic Torch/Merry Christmas virus, which supposedly burns your hard disc when you open it: False.

The one about callers posing as Visa and MasterCard fraud investigators and obtaining security details is: True.

How do I know all this? Whenever I get one of those alarming e-mails, and before I forward them to my nearest and dearest, I check with Snopes, a websites that verifies and explains the urban legends that clutter up our inboxes. It saves so much time and unnecessary worry.

Wikipedia

Have you ever thought about going to
Wikipedia
well it is a great website for
information but, it seems as though it is the only website for information when you may actually
need more sources for say a school project or something else that needs a lot of information.

Another true point about Wikipedia is that some of the information posted is not true and
you can not always trust the sources you go to. Google is another source you can not always trust
because every thing that is posted on Google has been posted by someone just like me posting
this, you don't even know if this information is true(it is).

Also if you have clicked on this page that means you probably wanted to go to
Wikipedia and now that you are quite angry at me (if you have even read this far) so now
you can either exit the web page or go to the actual Wikipedia and maybe using incorrect
information and even if you do use this information make sure you do not plagiarize (it's illegal.)

When you are looking through the internet it is still one of the best web sites for school
information but, when you are looking for more advanced information you can not trust this site
and I would advise you to use a library or encyclopedias because you can know that this
information is 100% true unless you are looking in the fiction section then you will know that the
information is not true.

But, if you are looking for fiction you can look all over the internet or the fiction part at
any library nearest you because that is the best source to find information on such things as a
Greek legend or olden time battles or anything else you could probably think of and you can even
make it up all by yourself.
