Make Money with Pop Under Ads

Pop under advertisements are still used by many websites to monetize their content. The process is a bit forced to the user but it has also some advantages most advertisements don't have.

1- You don't need to change your website layout to make the ad fit the place. You only need to install some code that will open a new windows when a user comes to your site.
2- The user can close the ad if he doesn't like it. No more intrusive ads he must watches even if he doesn't like it.
3- The ad can be seen while the site is opening so the user has something to be entertained with reducing the chances of leaving the site before it loads. Great for heavy websites.
4- The user can opt to clock such ads if he doesn't like so instead of losing a user you just lose some money buy you keep their loyalty.

Now some disadvantages.

1- Google can slap your website since it hates websites with Pop Windows. This is very bad if a lot of your traffic comes from Google but doesn't make a difference if there is no traffic from Google.

2- The advertisements can be easily blocked by most browsers today. Even Internet Explorer now blocks such kind of ads.

3- Most people don't like Pop Windows very much so be careful if you sea a quick lowering on the traffic right after implementation.

4- It's difficult to find high quality advertisements that want to promote their products this way. Most of the times you will get only low quality ads like smiles.

After considering thise advantages and disadvantages you should think wisely and decide which one can make you the most money after every month. Using many ad types like Windows, Banners and Full Page Ads will make you a killer in the first days but after that the users thinks twice before going to your site again. Don't push your luck!

How to Spot Scam Advertisements

We have all been exposed I have even seen a few on Triond itself! Have you ever clicked one? There are all kinds of goodies! Trojans, Spy ware, Key loggers, Virals and all kinds of other goodies! Personally I only like having Trojans because key loggers are just a nuisance! Oh, wait, I am fairly sure no one wants ANYTHING! So shall we avoid it then? Yes novel idea!

So let us state the obvious firstly! Now, you have been the 1,000,000th visitor more then 50 times on the same site? Scam? I think not! (note the deep sarcasm) There are currently no sites running a 1 millionth visitor contest so they are currently all scams! However I recently got hit by a you are the 9,999,999,999th visitor, does anyone else see the flaw in this advertisement? That would be 10 Trillion visits to that site, I can't be positive but I would say a safe guess could be that 10Trillion visits to separate sites haven't been made on the entire Internet! Just a thought!

Now there are the ads that promise you something and all you have to do is enter your E-mail address and wait. Well if you think long and hard (clearly I mean no more then 3 seconds) you will notice that what it promises is garbage and that each time you attempt one in a step of faith you receive no guide or what have you, AND you get a noticeably larger amount of spam! Coincidence? I think not!

This one should be extremely obvious to all, any ad in a different language, with typos, or obvious errors of any kind are to be completely disregarded! If you click on it anyways then your a fool but if you do and you notice the site has any flaws or looks unprofessional you have been had! This is not a good thing by anyone's standards, leave the site immediately at which point you have probably gotten a couple pornographic pop-ups!

Please make the Internet a better place to live and ignore idiots!

Thanks!

Making Money on the Internet

Making money on the internet isn't easy. I've made a good amount as a teenager this last year from just writing and doing a few other things I'll get into another time. I've saved up about $60.00 just from doing what I want to do. Write online to others about anything I feel like.

Things like eBay or most likely easier to make a bigger profit then writing. But more people are trying to sell on eBay then people are trying to buy these days thanks to those get-rich-quick eBay books.

Making your own website and generating ad traffic is another way to make some extra money on the internet. Simply build your own webpage through a drag-n-drop site, put ads on it from Google or Yahoo, and collect money weekly. But you have to get a lot of page views to get any real money out of it.

You can also buy, trade, and sell stocks online too. The internet is the new frontier for all entrepreneurs. Whether you're selling property, stocks, or miscellaneous items to an old lady and her ten thousand cats on eBay.

But advertising is the most likely way to make a buck on the web. Either on your own site or on someone else's. that's what I do but I'm working on a dew other things right now that I hope work and if they do, I'm coming right back here to tell you how to do the same thing I did. But I also know HTML and CSS so making a website is easier for me but you can do a drag-n-drop as I mentioned earlier. (That's just when you drag links and paragraphs where you want them instead of doing wit code.

But draw up some ideas and see how much you can make on your computers as a writer, businessperson, or someone really bored and willing to click on ads for people like I did for awhile.

How to Make Your Website Look Professional

Don't Advertise on Your Main Site

If your main-site has ads on it, it only shows people your intention is to make money of them. Your forum can have ads, your articles; every other page can have ads, but not the main site. Look at Triond, look at Google, look at any site that looks professional, you will see no advertisements. If you display ads on the main-site it is like asking people money to have a first impression. A shop also doesn't charge you to come in, right. Even if the person doesn't really pay for the ads, he or she will feel it like he or she is doing you a favor. If you need to resort to advertising on your main site, it doesn't show any professionalism.

Have Your Own Domain Name

You need to register your own domain name. It will cost you money, but let's face it if you don't want to invest money in your website, it doesn't show much confidence. Own domain names in general are easier to remember. Compare Triond to my blog, Jotter Scalems. I confess, it doesn't have to look professional and I don't want to earn or spend money on it. That's why it looks like it does now. You have to spend money to make money they say. That doesn't mean you have to register an expensive name on the Internet. A cheap one will cost you around 10 dollars a year. That is less than one dollar a month.

Be Straightforward and Easy to Use

Don't waste your time on gadgets. Most people have one purpose when they come to your site and they don't have a lot of patience. If I had to scroll down to use google, I'd swap to yahoo in no time. Triond is another good example. All you need is a couple of basic things that people can rely on. The contact button shouldn't be big, by now we know that we can scroll down and find the contact button somewhere on the bottom of the page. If you sell dictionaries, the people who want to visit the site will want to buy dictionaries. They don't want to hear about how your company has sold dictionaries for six generations. If you decide to add a search option on your site, be sure it works well. You're better of with good categories than with a search option that doesn't make any sense. If someone searches for Japanese-English dictionary, he needs a Japanese-English dictionary. If that search shows him two Japanese-Japanese dictionaries, two English-Japanese dictionaries, one Japanese-English and English-Japanese in one, one pocket English and so on, he won't be happy. In this case you could use click buttons to select the languages and it would work much better.

Do Not Brag About How Great Your Site is

Good websites don't need to tell you how many people they have helped. They don't display stories of happy users. Your website should have fame, not claim fame.

10 Useful Tips for Earning Money Online Through PTC / PTR Programs

There are a number of ways of earning money online of which one of the most popular are the PTC Sites. PTC means Paid to Click where you join websites and are paid to click the ads which are published on these websites. PTR means Paid to Read where you are paid for the emails which are available in the inbox of the respective sites. There is a thin dividing line between PTC's and PTR's and most of the website include both paid to click links and paid to read mails. In the following paragraphs these programs will be talked about and will be addressed as PTC which will mean to include PTR's also.

Below are 10 useful tips in order to succeed and maximize your earnings from PTC sites.

These tips will specially help if you are new to PTC sites. Following these suggestions will lead to less frustration and more satisfaction while trying out the world of PTC programs.

Referrals

One of the most important ways of making money from PTC Sites is through Referrals. For these before joining any website it is always better to tie up with friends or colleagues. You can join a PTC site under them and they can join under you. This really helps and will benefit you both. Normally you will be able to make online friends through social sites and you can have a good partnership to sign up under each other.

If you are unable to network with friends and colleagues then you should first sign up for programs such as Get Ref. This program gives you credit for joining PTC Sites, PTR Sites and Survey Sites. You can then use the credits to get a referral under you for one of the sites of your choice.

Other places for getting referrals signed under you would be your own blog and social sites. You can even mention on your blog that you are interested in Exchange Link Referral.

Low Minimum Payout

If you are new to PTC's it is always best to join sites which have a low minimum payout. Joining sites having a low minimum payout means that you can reach minimum payout soon without having referrals.

I have had success with sites such as Kooplinks (Minimum Payout $ 0.02), PTC-House (Minimum Payout $ 0.02) and Click Salary (Minimum Payout $ 0.01) and have been paid often by them. Joining these sites will atleast give you some comfort with PTC sites and some earnings to encourage you to continue with PTC programs.

High Rate Per Click

The standard rate for clicking an ad and reading an email is $ 0.01. However sites paying 1 cent per click will normally have minimum payout at $10. But there are exceptions where sites have minimum payout at $ 3 (eg: Earn3).

There are other sites which pay $0.0001 to $0.0025 per click. Here the minimum payout is usually low ranging between $0.02 to $1.

There are some sites where the ads pay much lower than this. However such sites need to be usually avoided.

The most important thing is to strike a balance between rate per click and minimum payout. Thus sites where you can reach the minimum payout early are the ones which need to be targeted first. For this you can use a formula that is Minimum Payout divided by the Earnings Per Day which will give you the Days in which you can reach Minimum Payout.

Cash Out

It is always advisable to Cash Out as soon as you reach minimum payout. You will know whether a site is genuine or not once you reach minimum payout and it has paid you. Thus it is best to cash out rather than wait to earn more and then decide to convert into Cash.

Once the site has paid you learn about the authenticity of these websites. For example, if the minimum payout for a site is $0.02 then it is best to cash out each time you reach $0.02 rather than waiting to reach $1 and then cashing out.

Time taken to Pay

Some sites pay within a period of 2 days from requesting payout. There are others which pay within a week, while others take as long as a month or 2 months to pay. This is one of the terms which needs to be read before joining a PTC site. Normally users miss out on this term and end up frustrated after requesting payout.

Again it is important to initially join sites which pay within 2 days or at least a week.

Mode of Payment

Sites normally pay via Paypal, Alertpay or E-Gold. These are the most popular ways of paying online. There are some other programs through which the payment is sent. You need to be a member of these sites in order to request payment. You will need to provide the email address which you have used while registering for the above programs to the PTC site programs.

You need to make sure whether Paypal, Alertpay and E-Gold are available in your country of residence.

Very few sites send check on requesting payout.

International sites or limited to certain countries

Some sites are restricted to certain countries. You may join these sites initially only to realize later that the site is not international. There are also certain sites which have ads based on your country of residence. Thus there may be fewer ads for one country and more ads for another country. Find out about such policies before joining the PTC / PTR programs.

Always Ask Before Joining A PTC Site

It is always better to find out the review of a site before joining. There are a number of new sites which keep coming up and some of these are scams. Thus if you are new with PTC's it is better to find out which sites have paid other users. You can get a lot of information about whether a site is legitimate or not from social websites and you can discuss with online friends whether a site has paid or not. It is really sad if you click and don't get paid on reaching minimum payout or if you joined a PTC program only to find that it has closed after a few days.

You can also find information on a number of blogs which give data as to which sites have paid along with payment proof. You will also find out other information such as minimum payout, payout policy etc. on some of the blogs.

Referrals

All sites will offer a package for purchasing referrals. Again before purchase of referrals it is better to find out the genuineness of the site.

As a rule of the thumb I don't advise purchasing referrals. May be at the most you can consider reinvesting a little sum earned from sites by purchasing referrals from them, though this may also not be advisable at most times. It depends on the risk appetite which you have.

You would not want to lose money in an effort to earn some.

Points

Some PTC / PTR programs give points for clicking on ads. There are some programs which allow you to convert these points into cash. Others allow you to purchase ads and links. It is important to find out how you can use the points and then decide whether you want to click on the ads giving points.

Finally it is important to devote time on a daily basis in order to be successful in the PTC business. So happy clicking.

Click Fraud and Ads

A publisher can sign up and have ads put on their site, but whoever you sign up with may accuse you of click fraud and cancel your account to protect their advertisers. You won’t matter and part of that money that you have made won’t be yours. If you ever get your account canceled, you might not realize that it’s a good thing. All that you know is that you lost the money that wasn’t yours no way. Plus, you are not protected like the advertisers are. I would recommend that people leave the ads alone.

What is click fraud exactly? I don’t know. But I do know that even when you don’t click on your own ads, somebody else may be clicking. If their clicking looks like click fraud, you’re in trouble. If I have to worry about a whole lot of mess like that, I don’t want to have anything to do with ads on my site. I don’t care about the money. I would rather get paid for my work and get paid the right way. Then I know that I have earned it. To me, having ads on your site and trying to make money is like gambling. It might take you a year or two before you reach the amount of money you need to reach. The money is no grantee. If you have reached a $1000, your account could be canceled, and you still might not get the money.

Many people brag about making money off of ads. They try to sell you books and tell you that you need to know this and that. They tell you that you need to know some secrets to get the amount of money you want. You have to pay money to get those books to learn those so called secrets. See, there goes that word money again. Well, I did not have to waste my time spending my money on those books. I have learned all I need to know through experience to become wise about ads and click fraud. I know that it’s possible that you can get into big trouble messing with ads. People get mad over money, and I do mean mad. It can cause a big fight. I don’t want to end up in court, and I don‘t want to end up in jail for something I didn‘t do. I don’t need the hassle.

Blogs as a Marketing Tool

Let me start by explaining what a blog is. It is defined as a website where entries are written in chronological order and commonly shown in reverse chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog. Blogs serve as a place for users to make comments and to invite readers to pass on their comments too.

Blogs were once thought-out to be the area of all that is not corporate, are now soon catching up to be an obligatory marketing tool. They have become a way of promoting just about anything whether it may be public relations, marketing a new product, improving brand image and for research. Blogs are the order of the day.

Blog achieves the goal of growing a business because the company expands as it caters to online customers who may come across it. This is cyberspace in addition to any offices and factories that it may have. Blogs are a great way of promoting a business in that it can help in interacting with users and display their feedback. Thereby when other people view any testimonials made by customers like themselves they will be satisfied that the company is serving its clients well and listening to their needs.

People can look through blogs at their own leisure. They can revisit the blog by pasting the URL onto their web browser. This is a form of advertising and it is excellent because it will be sought by customers when they seek to visit it again and again. This is better than in the orthodox way where by TV or radio, the ad needs to reach the consumers.

Blogs are low cost way of marketing and it requires little or no cost at all. Multiple times consumers may view it but the blog administrator does not have to be burdened with expenses. The blog can be changed and edited at will to suit the different tastes and fashions that keep coming up from time to time.

The effect is commanding viral marketing with blogs linking to other blogs. The real value is things that you don't expect. From one perspective, the amount of people companies end up talking to and doing business with just simply in appreciation to a blog is amazing. Producers in Hollywood. People from publishing companies in the States. Everyone is alerted and almost anyone seems to identify with this new development. People who in another time without this network would never been able to correspond.

There is a variety of information available in these blogs. Real time concerns by big time CEOs, now that's what the internet was invented for! Successful marketing through blogs creates or enters an area of interest where readers are caught up in the use and means of a product or service. Blogging flickers interactive messages by means of low-cost self-publishing and syndication of substance. Blogwriters who believe they can sell musings by payment have been let down, and companies that have used blogs to sell overtly and generated interest.

People are now involved in developing their own blogs to talk up and as a result add value to their own products and services and also by using other people's blogs to promote or discuss them. However, not all companies have actually worked out how to use blogs effectively yet.

Blogs are a profitable idea of formerly hard to get impending insight from CEOs, marketing guru's and others who are never used to having a public forum. These business leaders are making the most of the internet to put into words their personal thoughts on happenings in their industry and life. They are blogging for the same reasons they do public speaking, to build trustworthiness for themselves and boost up their company's credentials. Blogging has become a new less time consuming and less expensive way to reach potential and current customers.

Well, its not always biting commentary, but it is entertaining and in the end it's marketing. Possibly, the most prevailing type of corporate marketing per rupee spent ever imagined.
