Many people ask me how I make money online, and most of them ask it in such a way that sounds as if internet money making is a very easy task to do. "So how can I make 100k this this month?", or.."Dude, do you do some secret stuff or something"...One of the worst questions I received was.."I wanna make money online but I'm afraid of the police"! They have the wrong notion about making money online the legitimate, honest and lucrative way! Down with Nigerian scams and chain email solicitation letters! You don't have to do anything like that to make money online.

The following online activities has helped me earn a stable income from the internet for the past two years or so. I'm not promising you that it's all gonna be easy. You have to take time to learn, because the internet is a unique marketplace where people need a totally different set of skills in order to be succesful. What I'm going to give you here today are some of the basic "money geysers" from which you can generate income online:

   The concept of blogging is simple. You create a blog, post content on a regular basis, then get a steady stream of visitors. Now here's the money making part. You let online advertising companies place their ads on your blog. This is called syndication (your content goes side by side with the ads). When your website visitors read your blog posts, they also see the advertisements from the online companies. Either you get paid for every ad click, or from every ad view. The income here can really be unbelievable when your blog readership reaches thousands of views per week or day.
   
   The most popular online advertising agencies are Google Adsense, Chitika, Tribalfusion, Yahoo Search Advertising. They all pay you for placing their ads on your content-rich blog.

2. Online Network Marketing

   
   
   Network marketing, also known as multilevel marketing, is a growing industry in the internet these past few years. It is a system where you get paid for promoting the products of a certain company and referring others to join a particular money making program. Although multi-level marketing (or simply MLM) has generally earned a bad reputation due to some bogus MLM companies in the past, there are legitimate companies that exist, and that provide viable and fair compensation. One of my favorite online MLM's is Global Domains International. I'm not interested in promoting it here but if you like you can check it out here.
   
   There are many other online MLM companies that will provide you great money making opportunities and will even send you commissions to your bank or home residence. Be careful though, and make sure you carefully scrutinize any money making opportunity before you decide to commit and join.

3. Content Publishing

   
   
   This is by far, my favorite way of making money online. You don't need to sell anything..all you have to do is create any kind of content (articles, videos, pictures) and then submit it to content publishing sites. These content publishing sites earn from ad revenue and they will use your content so that they can earn...and the god part is that they share the income with you!
   
   Basically I write articles then, depending on the amount of views and readership I get, the content publishing sites PAY ME. Some examples of content publishing sites are Associated Content, and Triond . There are many others. Make sure you check them out and study how to earn through them very well.

Making money online demands some hard work, but if you are patient throughout the learning curve, your efforts will gradually pile up and create automated residual income for you for the future years to come.

Writers who are consistently producing fresh and new content to be published on the web are usually the ones who make the best money and who are the most well known on the Internet. Writing new content should be a given if you really want to be taken seriously as a writer of any kind.

Most successful writers and bloggers have at least one very important thing in common, and that is, that they have chosen the type of writer that they are. These writers have created a reputation for their work and themselves by writing about one or possibly two topics on a regular basis. This works so well, because their audience starts to recognize these authors as experts in their chosen topics.

The longer that the articles or blogs that the writer has written is published on the Internet, then the more it is considered old news and the less appeal effect the writings will be in the future. The older the articles and blogs become, then the less money the articles and blogs will be able to generate in the future. On the bright side, the entire archive of new and old published articles can potentially generate a decent residual income on their own, even if the writer should take some time off from their writing.

Writers have the ability to write themselves a pay raise, just simply by publishing a few new articles per week. So, if you are disappointed after learning that you are making less than what you want to make, then just write something interestingly new to share with your loyal audience. It is really, just that simple to do.

As a writer, I routinely use social bookmarking networks to promote the articles and reviews that I write. Recently, I learned about and joined a relatively new social bookmarking network called Yearblook that not only allows its members to bookmark their favorite blogs from around the net and in addition win money for the most popular bookmarks that they submit to the network.

Yearblook is going to publish a book that is based on the most popular blogs submitted to Yearblook. The blog that receives the most number of votes during a 24 hour day will be published in the book that Yearblook is going to publish, so that the blogs will endure time itself in the real offline world. Yearblook claims that they will reward the most popular blog bookmark with publication in their book, one winning blog for each of the 365 days of the year.

Upon my first visit to Yearblook, I noticed the clean appearance of the website's homepage. It originally reminded me of another social bookmarking site called DropJack because of the color scheme and page layout. There was not any cluttered pages or hard to find navigation tabs to hinder the experience.

The registration process only requires a user name, current email address and a password. Really, it only takes a couple of minutes to signup for a free Yearblook user account.

Like with most other social bookmarking sites, Yearblook allots their members space to add a personal profile page and other tools to manage the member's own activities when using Yearblook.

Yearblook members can participate in a monthly contest where Yearblook rewards one Yearblook member and one blog writer a cash reward based on the most popular blog submission for the month. The winning Yearblook member will be rewarded a $50.00 cash prize and the winning blog author will receive a $50.00 cash prize for the blog that receives the most number of votes during the month.

I have not been a member of Yearblook for a very long, but so far I have not experienced any major problems with the submission process or using any of the member tools that are provided to all members. Although, Yearblook does warn that there could be some bugs to flush out of the system, because of its new status.

Yearblook is currently not near as big or popular as other such social bookmarking networks online, but that should not be a reason not to give it a try. All websites and new businesses had to start small, before they got where they are today. These smaller networks gives members the opportunity to share their ideas with the webmaster(s), so to build a better network that everyone will enjoy for years to come.

• Title: A key element to getting views on your post lies within advertisement. The first words a reader sees lie in the title, and it is this reason why forming your title plays a significant role in getting paid instead of played.
• Key Words: Picking out key words and phrases will help your page pop up after it has made its brief appearance on the "Recent Posted" list.
• Valuable Information: Nobody likes to read junk. By posting insightful articles, valuable information, and talented writing you can develop a following of repeat customers as well as developing your reputation. Nobody wants to click on the author who always posts garbage merely to post, especially when there schedule is hectic and or their lunch break has been shortened. Related to this topic would be proper grammar and spelling, and more distantly, sticking to the topic
• Continuity: Every posting you put out draws more views on other articles you may already have written, if you put a new good article in the most recent 10 or top 10 sections your views will automatically increase. Continued entries keep your name in the game.
• Hot Topics: This cannot be understated in value. Writing about nails in wood may not draw too many views, but writing about current events is eye catching. What ever topic that is on CNN or CBC now is probably hot enough to write about. News sells and here, no news is bad news.

Much more can be said on this topic and there are many points to debate, but the bottom line is that if you follow these basic points your writing value as well as financial income will greatly increase over time. And when writing about millions, I meant millions of cents. Cheerio.
