Hulu: The Next Best Thing

Along with the boost of Internet usage were the sprouting of various electronic devices such as high-powered computers, convenient laptops and even palmtops that could be brought anywhere you go at your convenience. Through these, Television are chosen not as the first priority to obtain information but instead, people chooses to turn their PC's on and starts to search for whatever they needed there and with just a click away, voila! You have what you needed in merely a couple of seconds. How cool is that? Indeed, Internet plays a very important role on the contemporary time, which allows people to explore and have an easy grasp on what they need. May it simply be for added knowledge like research or may it be for checking out the latest trends in the market-it doesn't matter, even movies, music videos, images of all kinds and television series are rampantly shown as well.

It was the rise of YouTube last 2005, where in you could view almost every show seen on the television and not only that, people could actually access an advance screening if he is too tired of waiting for tomorrow for the next episode to be shown, wherein it rampantly became a medium for indirect piracy. The site continued to grow and has worked its way to become a global icon. It is very functional and diverse that you could sports, music videos an movies have become on the reach just on the tip of our fingers. Accordingly, people can upload videos; photos and any visual item without having YouTube screen them for a high-dimensioned quality demonstration, to retain the site's integrity in the industry. Before you know it, this site has been a vehicle for negative incidents to happen. In just a click away, porn sites and the like are seen and, there a lot of choices to choose from. Personally, I get annoyed when I type in keywords that I am looking for and something flashes on the screen with all those unholy body parts seen. I hope, parental guidance will soon be advised to properly direct the youth to become a better person. Though this idea might be too fuzzy for children nowadays are said to bear with "electronics" on their system.

While this happens, compact disks compilation was set aside for its inconvenience and added expenditure for a leisure activity, plus, it can be gotten through the Internet without getting a single penny out from the pockets. Through this manner, authorities could have easily regulated such violation and protect the common people from being affected with this fiddle.

Not long enough, YouTube launched a “YouTube Killer” for the purpose of omitting unwanted uploads and maybe to preserve the network's reputation but, it was just a show off intervention it did not really realm the industry and so, the usual continued and continued. I cannot blame the network though. They have built an empire on itself and it became a site that almost all people talk about and would surely click on.

Relatively, Hulu, a high rising network works almost exactly the same as that of YouTube except for its higher quality and better performance. You can watch full screen versions of your most wanted TV show or series all around the corners of your personal computers. It has been tagged as the YouTube's Pro.

There are a couple of advantages that you can expect from Hulu. First, they screen uploads and maintain a high quality standardized strips. This is mainly for the users to be lead on the right track and not confuse them with various unnecessary sites that are very irrelevant to what is supposed to be seen with the key word that was entered. Second, ads on this network are inserted in between movies with a promised 30-seconds time, which is very appropriate. Added to that, it serves as a quick break if you want to grab unto something from the fridge or for whatever matter it may serve. Third, when you download, it has been reportedly to be much faster than that of any site there is. So you see, not only do you get the best quality strip but, you also get to save time and energy for it. If saving is not a main concern here, then, I would have to say, you could download more and more each day according to your preference. How great is that? Fourth, it is “silver-surfer”-friendly (or simply refers to old people). It is easy to use and you don't have to worry about being misled by a bunch of indirect sites advertising their own companies for their own profit. Fifth, all are modest on this site, therefore, parents can be assured that their children are properly guided and are being tactful with their youth rather than spoiling their innocence.

Hulu makes use of Web 2.0 for their excellent shows to be seen by millions of viewers across continents. Truly, viewers view The Simpsons, House, and American Dad and movies such as The Big Lebowksi and Some Like It Hot contently.

Hulu, as merited is a rising network that needs advertising and utilization if respectful companies to break through its min purpose and guarantee satisfaction among the viewers and to opt this site as their primary source of media, or for any purpose that the site can serve their clients well. As of the present, the site continues to grow and expand through this vast industry of Internet. Though it has not yet been a long time tycoon, Hulu rises with high hopes reach the global top 10 list that everyone will definitely talk about and use it for their own purpose.

Hulu has been doing a great job safeguarding their networks name to be functional enough and to be utilized by all people from various countries and races. I hope Hulu does not get to the point when they will soon lose the primary objective for this site and maintain an integral honor and modesty for the decency of Internet mogul.

With Hulu, what more can you ask for? It is definitely the next best thing!

Hulu: The Future of Television

When you think of online television your first thought is probably something like YouTube. But now there is another online site that has some of your favorite shows on it. It's called Hulu, and it's completely free.

What is It?

As stated above, Hulu is a website where you can find some of your favorite shows online for free. You do have to create an account, but after that you can watch whatever you want. Choose from either television shows or movies.

How can this be legal and free? Simple. Like a normal television show, you will view a commercial every fifteen minutes or so into your programming. The commercials are not intrusive or anything like that, and you can always just ignore them.

Selection

As for the selection, it's not too bad. You definitely will not find every television show or movie that was ever made, but you will discover a few of your favorites. Some examples are The Simpsons, House, Battlestar Galactica, and many more. You can find movies like Ice Age on Hulu as well.

Website Navigation

Getting lost on this website would be a difficult task because everything is layed out well and easy to use. Links are where they should be and nothing is difficult to find. And so far no glitches.

Quality

As for the quality, it's not bad. You can select to watch your shows at a small size or full screen. The smaller size is sharper and clearer than the full screen mode but only a little. If you choose to watch the video at a small size then you can select the dim light feature to shadow out the text that surrounds the video.

Full screen mode is surprisingly clear, with just a hint of blurriness in the video. The video is also occasionally jerky, but it's not that bad. Since Hulu is free and relatively new, you can cut them a little slack. The quality and selection is bound to improve in the future.

Embedding the Video

Like YouTube, Hulu allows you to embed the video directly onto your website. This gives you additional content for your website, and it creates more traffic for Hulu. Everybody wins.

While Hulu does not have as much content on it as your cable box, it is a convenient way to watch some shows if you're at the office or something. And who knows what the future holds for this company. Maybe one day cable will really be replaced by online television.

Is Hulu a You Tube Killer?

If you haven't heard, NBC, FOX, and all the other big name channels are pulling their shows from
YouTube, a website that contains little clips of things, and user submitted content. The new website that is going to contain all of the NBC, etc. shows is a website called Hulu. Hulu is currently in BETA, and very few people can get in. I have gotten in, possibly because I own my own blog/website. Overall, I think that Hulu is just absolutely amazing!

Heroes, Chuck, Bionic Woman, the Simpson's. We all love these shows. But occasionally, you may miss an episode or two. With Hulu, say goodbye to those cheap two minute episode that “summarize” the episodes you missed. Hulu has full-length episodes of Heroes and all the other shows. The reason I keep on saying Heroes is because it is my favorite show. Once Hulu gets going, it is also going to support G4 the channel, too. It is going to start showing Attack of The Show (AOTS), along with G4. They even let you share the videos, which surprised me because you'd think they wouldn't let you share it!

There is a problem here though. Is Hulu a You Tube killer? I have mixed thoughts about this. So my answer is yes and no. I think that You Tube is definitely going to be hurt by this, but it is also going to hurt the networks, because having all the network shows is what makes You Tube appeal to most people, so this is going to drive publicity away from them. For You Tube, they are going to have a big storm hit them when Hulu opens to the public. When Hulu opens, You Tube is going to lose most of its viewers, and do you know where all of the lost viewers are going? Yep, you guessed it. Hulu.

However, I also think that NBC and the others are just hurting themselves because they are going to lose a chunk of publicity online. You Tube is one of their largest websites that “advertise” NBC and others by having their shows on You Tube's website. Now, I'm going to give an opinion here. I think that rather than totally pulling the plug on their shows on You tube, they should at least put two minute pod casts on it, so it drives people to their website in the thirst for more. It wouldn't hurt them so much then. It would actually drive more people to Hulu, right?

Okay, so I've informed you about Hulu and You Tube, and now it's your turn to give an opinion. Do you think that Hulu is a You Tube killer?
