Many people ask me how I make money online, and most of them ask it in such a way that sounds as if internet money making is a very easy task to do. "So how can I make 100k this this month?", or.."Dude, do you do some secret stuff or something"...One of the worst questions I received was.."I wanna make money online but I'm afraid of the police"! They have the wrong notion about making money online the legitimate, honest and lucrative way! Down with Nigerian scams and chain email solicitation letters! You don't have to do anything like that to make money online.

The following online activities has helped me earn a stable income from the internet for the past two years or so. I'm not promising you that it's all gonna be easy. You have to take time to learn, because the internet is a unique marketplace where people need a totally different set of skills in order to be succesful. What I'm going to give you here today are some of the basic "money geysers" from which you can generate income online:

1. Blogging

   
   
   The concept of blogging is simple. You create a blog, post content on a regular basis, then get a steady stream of visitors. Now here's the money making part. You let online advertising companies place their ads on your blog. This is called syndication (your content goes side by side with the ads). When your website visitors read your blog posts, they also see the advertisements from the online companies. Either you get paid for every ad click, or from every ad view. The income here can really be unbelievable when your blog readership reaches thousands of views per week or day.
   
   The most popular online advertising agencies are Google Adsense, Chitika, Tribalfusion, Yahoo Search Advertising. They all pay you for placing their ads on your content-rich blog.

2. Online Network Marketing

   
   
   Network marketing, also known as multilevel marketing, is a growing industry in the internet these past few years. It is a system where you get paid for promoting the products of a certain company and referring others to join a particular money making program. Although multi-level marketing (or simply MLM) has generally earned a bad reputation due to some bogus MLM companies in the past, there are legitimate companies that exist, and that provide viable and fair compensation. One of my favorite online MLM's is Global Domains International. I'm not interested in promoting it here but if you like you can check it out here.
   
   There are many other online MLM companies that will provide you great money making opportunities and will even send you commissions to your bank or home residence. Be careful though, and make sure you carefully scrutinize any money making opportunity before you decide to commit and join.

3. Content Publishing

   
   
   This is by far, my favorite way of making money online. You don't need to sell anything..all you have to do is create any kind of content (articles, videos, pictures) and then submit it to content publishing sites. These content publishing sites earn from ad revenue and they will use your content so that they can earn...and the god part is that they share the income with you!
   
   Basically I write articles then, depending on the amount of views and readership I get, the content publishing sites PAY ME. Some examples of content publishing sites are Associated Content, and Triond . There are many others. Make sure you check them out and study how to earn through them very well.

Making money online demands some hard work, but if you are patient throughout the learning curve, your efforts will gradually pile up and create automated residual income for you for the future years to come.

Search Engine Optimization/Keywords

Perhaps the best way to promote your content comes when you are actually writing your article. Much of the traffic that your article gets will come from search engines, so make sure that your articles get good rankings in Google and others. While there are people who make SEO their business, it is nothing that you cannot do yourself. Read everything you can about SEO and also about how search engines work. That will give you a better idea of how you make your content search engine friendly. Thankfully, Associated Content does a lot of that for you, but you can help by thinking about keyword density.

Social Bookmarking

Social Bookmarking sites like Digg are a great way to promote your content. Digg allows you to flag articles that you enjoy. These flagged articles then become part of the Digg search engine. If people find your article through there, they may "Digg" it too. The more people who Digg your article, the more likely people are to see it. The best part is that even if someone finds your article on Digg, they have to go to Associated Content to view the site. That way, you will get credit for the pageview. Social Networking

Social networking sites are another great way to promote your content. If you do not have a Myspace account, get one. Use the content widget from the "community resources" area to add a feed of your latest articles to your profile. Then, just add friends left and right. Add everyone you know and then start adding people you do not know. Some people will reject your requests, but many will accept. Anytime you have a few minutes to add some friends, do so. It does not cost anything and it is an easy way to promote your content. Think about it. Since there are no limits to how many friends you can have, you could easily get up to 10,000 friends in a few weeks or months. Every time you have new content published, put out a bulletin alerting your friends with a link to the article. If just %1 of the people on your friends list follow the link, you just got 100 free page views! If 10% of them did, you just got 1000 free page views and you made $1.50.

These are just some of the many ways that you can easily promote what you right for Associated Content and greatly increase your performance payment earnings. By doing that and continuing to write as much as possible, you should be able to make a nice monthly income in no time at all.
