Success on Ebay

My relationship with eBay began in 2005. Since that time, I have been able to bring in additional income when needed. I have read many articles written by others who talk about listing fees, final value fees, and so much more. With anything, you need to educate yourself on all fees associated with this wonderful world of selling. You will not always make top dollar on everything you sell.

With that said, let's talk about successfully selling on eBay. Customer satisfaction is the backbone of every business on the planet. Most businesses lose customers due to poor customer service. This is the same for even the Power Sellers on eBay right down to the small scale sellers. When listing your items on eBay, you need to put in the best descriptive title possible. Review similar listings as part of your research. Most importantly, sellers need to make sure they put in a very accurate description of the item you are selling. eBay offers sellers and buyers many tools to help make your experience a positive one. Take time to go through the tutorials available at your finger tips. If the item is not new, do not list it as new! This will only get you negative feedback. If there is a stain or pin-size hole in the leg of the jeans you are selling, make not of it. This will save you much grief and your feedback in the long run.

Another area you need to become very familiar with is shipping. You may have to start out with your bathroom scales in weighing your merchandise. So what, it works! Do not lose your shirt on shipping. You can go to usps and find out the latest shipping rates. You will need to insure high ticket or fragile items. Be sure to include this in your shipping costs to the buyer. I found out by trial and error this little expense can save you big money.

Here comes that dreaded customer that everyone hates to deal with. Yes, this will happen to you. There will be a customer that you just cannot satisfy no matter what. Work through it to get the best outcome possible. Negotiating with your customer is the best thing you can do. Keep the lines of communication open. Offer what you feel is a reasonable resolution. You will most likely get great feedback by resolving the issue rather than arguing with your buyer. Customer satisfaction should be your number one priority.

Selling on the World Wide Web can be a very lucrative business once you learn the ins and outs of this awesome highway of adventure. New opportunities will continue to unravel before you once you become an experienced seller. I am ready to move into new territory with eBay and other online activities. Open your browser and start making money!

21 Ways to Make Your Website a Success

Make your website load quickly and if you use flash or something bandwidth hungry make sure your visitors have something to watch while it loads

Get someone impartial to view your website for a maximum of five seconds and then tell you what it's about and what they remember seeing. This can be an eye-opener and help you clear away clutter from your main page to show just the main features

Make sure (and sure means absolutely sure) that all links within your website work and that all links to outside sites are good and make a point of allocating time to check this each week

Never use free hosting, get your own domain name and some proper paid-for hosting

Offer something valuable completely free to download in exchange for an email address and offer the link to this in big letters on the main page

Have a time each week when you review and think about your website, what it has achieved and what you intend to do in the future and try to put in place at least one change

Add new content at least each day, even if it's only something small, putting a link on the main page to the new content and then show the update date at the page bottom

Each week check how interactive your website has been and try to think of new ways to make it more interactive by using forums or polls

Have a policy, a direction and a goal that you can write down and explain to people if you had to and also make sure you know how much money your site is making

Look at sites similar to yours and list five reasons why they are better and five reasons why they are worse

List in your head all the ways you promote your website online and try to think of three more

List in your head all the ways you promote your website offline and try to think of three more

Write (or get) - good content and always (that is always) spellcheck everything before you post and make sure there are no exceptions to this

Look at your stats and ask yourself this question: "If I split my site in two would the two sites make more revenue (or traffic) than the one I have already?"

Check emails from customers or readers regularly and try to answer them the same day

Take the time to optimise your site for search engines and make sure that each page is as good as you can get it - nothing helps build a site better or quicker than this!

Would a blog drive more traffic your way? If you haven't time to write one yourself, advertise for a blogger to do it for you

Publish a sitemap and use it yourself to work out where visitors go and make sure that the navigation is set up for them to easily move around and go where you want them to go

Make sure you get people to test your site and give you feedback on problems they encounter and also get them to check after major changes or from time to time

Make your site is accessible

Remember, your site is never finished! Make sure that you are always thinking about it and about ways to improve and grow

Three Big Ways to Earn Real Money Online Without Being Scammed or Forced to Do Anything Stupid

When I told my friends that I was making money online, they looked at me in utter disbelief. To them, making money online was some kind of a joke, related to a whole world of scams and fakers. But that was not my perspective. For more than two years now, I've used the internet to earn extra income, support myself through college, buy my own stuff, pay a doctor on my own, and a whole lot of other things.

Many people ask me how I make money online, and most of them ask it in such a way that sounds as if internet money making is a very easy task to do. "So how can I make 100k this this month?", or.."Dude, do you do some secret stuff or something"...One of the worst questions I received was.."I wanna make money online but I'm afraid of the police"! They have the wrong notion about making money online the legitimate, honest and lucrative way! Down with Nigerian scams and chain email solicitation letters! You don't have to do anything like that to make money online.

The following online activities has helped me earn a stable income from the internet for the past two years or so. I'm not promising you that it's all gonna be easy. You have to take time to learn, because the internet is a unique marketplace where people need a totally different set of skills in order to be succesful. What I'm going to give you here today are some of the basic "money geysers" from which you can generate income online:

Blogging

The concept of blogging is simple. You create a blog, post content on a regular basis, then get a steady stream of visitors. Now here's the money making part. You let online advertising companies place their ads on your blog. This is called syndication (your content goes side by side with the ads). When your website visitors read your blog posts, they also see the advertisements from the online companies. Either you get paid for every ad click, or from every ad view. The income here can really be unbelievable when your blog readership reaches thousands of views per week or day.

The most popular online advertising agencies are Google Adsense, Chitika, Tribalfusion, Yahoo Search Advertising. They all pay you for placing their ads on your content-rich blog.

Online Network Marketing

Network marketing, also known as multilevel marketing, is a growing industry in the internet these past few years. It is a system where you get paid for promoting the products of a certain company and referring others to join a particular money making program. Although multi-level marketing (or simply MLM) has generally earned a bad reputation due to some bogus MLM companies in the past, there are legitimate companies that exist, and that provide viable and fair compensation. One of my favorite online MLM's is Global Domains International. I'm not interested in promoting it here but if you like you can check it out here.

There are many other online MLM companies that will provide you great money making opportunities and will even send you commissions to your bank or home residence. Be careful though, and make sure you carefully scrutinize any money making opportunity before you decide to commit and join.

Content Publishing

This is by far, my favorite way of making money online. You don't need to sell anything..all you have to do is create any kind of content (articles, videos, pictures) and then submit it to content publishing sites. These content publishing sites earn from ad revenue and they will use your content so that they can earn...and the god part is that they share the income with you!

Basically I write articles then, depending on the amount of views and readership I get, the content publishing sites PAY ME. Some examples of content publishing sites are Associated Content, and Triond . There are many others. Make sure you check them out and study how to earn through them very well.

Making money online demands some hard work, but if you are patient throughout the learning curve, your efforts will gradually pile up and create automated residual income for you for the future years to come.

Making Website Marketing Work for You

"For more information, go to our website." You've read that often enough. Marketing through websites allow you to provide more information of your brand messages. In other words, website marketing expands what you want your customers to know about your brand and what your brand can offer. It empowers your customers with brand knowledge and allows for avenues of feedback and discussion. Website marketing draws customers into a world of interactivity. It's this two-way communication which makes this form of marketing unique and appealing to customers.

See for Yourself

Not only can you provide information of your brand on the website, you can also include visuals of your brand, promotional ads and instructional videos of your new products. It's a great way to encourage customers to "see-and-feel" the brand for themselves, heighten their awareness and develop an understanding of what your brand can do. Say you have a new product, like the latest digital camera that has the specs comparable to an SLR. You want to showcase what the camera can do before the product launch. You can include a review of this new camera with a demo video to showcase the camera's functions and types of photographs the camera can take.

Being Included

Website marketing also provides the opportunity to build online communities - a place where customers can feel belonged. Besides participating in discussions, participants of online communities also build relationships with one another. Just think about it. Online communities are like mini global villages. People from all over the world who are hooked up on the internet can come together regardless of geography, nationality or culture to take part in your brand discussion. What better way than this to build brand loyalty on a global scale.

How Can We Help?

Need help? A great way to engage your customers is providing a link to customer service. By providing a useful online helpdesk, which should be responsive and informative, reflects on how much you care about helping your customers and providing customer satisfaction. A list of FAQs, contact details and email address are a must so that customers know how to get in touch with you. One advice though, never let your customers wait for more than 24 hours to get a response. The more responsive you are, the better you can keep your customers coming back.

Generating Website Traffic Through Social Networking Sites 2

In my previous article, "How To Generate More Traffic To Any Website", I detailed some tips on how to get started with building instant and long term traffic to your webpage. Now let's discuss some ways on how to generate traffic using a very lucrative but often untapped source of website visitors: Social Networking Sites.

The beauty of social networking sites is that you encounter REAL people instead of statisitics and empty hits or clicks. There is more warmth and human aspect in these social sites. You can really connect with thousands of real people. Not only do you get a chance to promote your site, people see YOU as a person as well.

Anyway, enough for introductions. Here are my tips for website generation.

Start With Myspace, then expand to other social networking sites - Ok, there are many ways, more than a hundred ways to get more traffic from Myspace. First, develop a cool, interesting profile page. This is important. Make sure that your profile appeals to your target market. If the website you're promoting is about weight loss, make sure you include some mention of your weight loss passion somewhere in your profile.

Myspace Tip # 1

Participate in the Myspace forum frequently. Don't blatantly promote your website there! Just contribute articles, give comments abbout relevant topics, answer replies, and so on. As you do this, you will notice that lots of people are sending you personal messages and friend requests.I've experienced this myself. Remember, your goal at this point is to GET MORE PEOPLE INTO YOUR FRIENDS LIST.

MySpace Tip # 2

As soon as you get a considerable number of people on your buddy list, use the bulletin post feature at least twice to thrice a week. There is no rule that says you cannot promote or advertise your website using the Myspace bulletin feature. So bulletin posts can actually serve as your commercial advertisements. Buyer beware: repetitive posting of the same topic or announcement is seen by Myspace as SPAM and might be grounds for termination of your account.

MySpace Tip # 3

Post Videos On Your MySpace Profile. Now this could really explode your traffic if you have a video that generates user interest then sucks them directly to your main website. Just how much can VIRAL VIDEO do for you? Well, it depends. There are overnight sensations and Youtube/Myspace stars. There are also videos that turn into a flop. Here's the criteria for a succesful Myspace viral video: 1) It must be relevant to the topic of your main website, 2) it must display your website link on the video itself. 3) the video must generate viewer interest by either being funny, controversial, or mind stimulating

Myspace Tip # 4

Use the Myspace blog. Post your website link at the end of each blog post. Each time you update your Myspace blog, your friends list is notified and some of them will hop into your new blog post instantly. Then a great percentage of these readers will check out your website link as well. Keep your blog posts light, easy and simple. Don't forget the KISS concept (Keep It Simple Stupid). If you go above people's heads, who will enjoy reading your posts?

Ok, we have outlined some specific tips on how to generate traffic using social networking sites, particularly Myspace. You can use the same concepts mentioned above in similar sites like Friendster, Multiply, Everyone's Connected and Tagged. There's really not enough space here to discuss each social networking site, so to save time, I primarily discussed MySpace because its the most popular among them all.

In my next articles, I will discuss Youtube, and how you can use it and similar video sharing sites to bring more traffic to your webpage. We will also discuss other ways to bring a horde of traffic to your blog, business page, or personal website.

How to Generate More Traffic to any Website

Whether you have a blog, personal page, or business website, you need more traffic! Website traffic is simply defined as the amount of people who visit your site. You may have the best site and content in the world, but without a considerable amount of traffic, your website is utterly useless.

The question is, how much traffic do you need? The answer depends on the kind of website or online presence you have. People with personal pages and blogs for non commercial purposes may be contented with their friends and family visiting their site. But for online marketers and business bloggers, they rely on a huge amount of traffic in order to get visitors, leads, prospects, customers, and revenue from their websites.

Regardless of your reasons for generating traffic, here are some success secrets on how you can turn your site into a well visited, winning site.

Know Your Audience

And I mean, know them very much! If you don't know your audience, you will not be able to decide on what particular promotional approach to use. For example, your website is about weight loss, then you should research on the popular topics that appeal to weight loss enthusiasts. Then, make that information available on your site! This will ensure that future visitors of your site will enjoy your content and come back for more.

Know The Movement Of Your Target Crowd

You should discover where your target crowd frequently goes. What sites do they regularly visit? For example, your website is about network marketing and your target crowd consists of people who are interested in earning extra money. Then you should discover the top forums, blogs, social networking sites, chatrooms that these people visit! Create a user buzz in your category of interest by contributing articles, participating in discussions, and exchanging links in those key sites.

Know The Popular Keywords in Your Field Of Interest

This might take some time to discover, but it will do you good for the long term traffic. Take a look at sites and forums with a similar topic to your site. Which articles and posts get more views than the others? What words and phrases do they have in common? As you gain more knowledge and expertise in your particular niche (or topic) online, you will be aware of the popular keywords that generate user interest and attract the search engines faster. For example, in the personal development niche, one of the most popular keywords are "success secrets". So if you have a site that's related to self-help or personal development, make sure you include those words in your keyword list. Then use that phrase repeatedly in the content of your website. This will attract more web users, and yes, search engines. More traffic.

Use MySpace and Social Networking Sites To Your Advantage

This step is really easy. Sign up to Myspace for free. Create an attractive profile, then post your website links and some of your sample articles there. Then, invite more Myspace friends. As you go along building your friends list, people also see your website link too! That could also generate more traffic! There are many ways you can generate a horde of traffic through social networking sites, and I will discuss that in future articles.

The Kind of Training You Need: Three Main Aspects of Online Business

Almost everyone on the internet today are bragging about "MLM training". And Yes, pretty much everyone is claiming to be an expert, or trying to look like one, at least.

What kind of MLM training do you really need?

You don't need rhetoric or another inspirational course. You don't need the book "Think and Grow Rich" recycled and rewritten by a modern marketer. You don't need another Kiyosaki concept or Brian Tracy sales tape. (yep, we admire those trainers of course, but it's time to see beyond those basic concepts and master specific, real time strategies to MLM success).

I believe the kind of training that every online networker needs can be summarized in three basic things.

Distributors should be trained about:

Building website traffic

Copywriting

Expertise about duplicatable systems

Those are three things that every networker must be well trained in. If your current MLM training program doesn't have those three things, or if there are parts that are missing, you should consider looking for better resources.

Moreover, if YOU are not training your team regarding those three aspects of online business, pretty soon your downline will dwindle and lose interest because they are not seeing results in their biz. Majority of network marketing groups die out within five to six months because the uplines in the upper echelons are holding back information that will allow people in their downline to succeed. In order to succeed and maintain growth in your team, you must empower them to reach a status of independence, wherein they have expertise in their own right and doesn't need to rely on you when it comes to their marketing efforts.

Only proper, constant training can make that possible.

Making Money Online

It seemed like an easy task when I first started learning about making money online. After all, all these gurus are cashing in, so I figured if they can do it, so can I.

How awesome, just automate everything, check my papal, click bank and count the dollars coming in right? RIGHT! Well, I'm not sure what I'm missing here but it isn’t not quite happening. Not yet.

I'm getting very frustrated. Instead of making money, I either spend it on new programs or I just keep clicking on more links, signing up for more FREE information on how to master the art of making money as an Internet Marketer. Not only have that, with more subscriptions I spend more time going through my e-mails. Who has the time or energy to read every e-mail?

So I'm starting to wonder, who is really making the money? Maybe a lot of those people just have their squeeze page up, claiming to be making a killing, and maybe they do so just by selling information to people like me seeking for the "magic formula".

The internet is amazing, I mean, think about how many people are online every day, everyone should be able to make a decent living on here.

The goal is to create multiple streams of passive income. The idea of making $ while asleep is definitely worth the time and effort. But which way do I go?

First and foremost I'm a musician, spending tons of hours working online to get this thing going stops me from doing what I'm truly passionate about, which again leads to pure frustration.

But what I want to do on here is my passion to.

So what’s the solution?

It’s really easy. Make a plan and stick with it! There’s time for everything if we make time for it.

No more clicking on tons of links, no more signing up for more tips and tricks on "how to", no more looking for the short cuts.

FOCUS!

Clarity leads to power.

57 Websites You Want to Know About

So, I thought I was done with creating more online profile pages. I created a personal MySpace page, a MySpace page for a company I had worked for as their spokes model/PR rep, and recently for the new company I work for. I know it's a phenomenal place to network and advertise for free. It's a genius system and, of course, that's why it is doing so well.

Here and there I have created online profile pages for various other sites, but lost track of them along the way. I thought, I can only manage a certain amount without forgetting what password went to what, etc. But, recently, thanks to Gail Nobles I was reminded to try another social networking site out again.

Granted we all know time is precious, it's valuable and how you decide to allocate your time is crucial to your success in life. I figured if I love my personal MySpace page but am using it less and less there must be a reason. There's simply not as much incentive for me to be on it anymore. One of my goals is to be financially independent and the only way I can do this is if I take control of my earnings and set up a system in which I will be making constant residual for life; money that will keep rolling in while I'm sipping a nice herbal tea beverage on the soft beautiful sands of an exotic tropical island. That is a main reason why I am so loyal and dedicated to Triond.

Throughout my experience with this site, I have steadily and consistently earned more income every month. I am patient with this site because I know how it works. It's about putting your name in the public eye, which means writing more content, leaving comments, and producing great, relevant, unique, inspirational work that other people will want to read.

In addition to that, I am also faithful to Triond because I have found that some of my best articles are starting to show up in Google's main search results. One of my articles: B12 Shots: The Newest Energy Booster can be found in the very first Google search result under “B12 shots”. When I first discovered this, I was astonished! I have also found that if someone chooses to search my name, they can easily find and read my articles. My current employers did this and were so impressed with my writing that they are allowing me to write for their company even though the initial job that I was hired for was not to be a writer! Triond really can do wonders for your writing career!

While Triond is one avenue I am seeing promising results from, I am always open to new avenues of money making endeavors.

Yuwie is an incredible site that provides the opportunity to not only network, but pays you for your efforts unlike MySpace. This, of course, is a genius way to market their site and pull MySpace loyalists to their site. After actively working on Yuwie for the past few days, I am very happy with the results and will continue to see what it can do for me. In addition, you can make more money when you refer others to the site. It works as a referral tree branch and the possibilities are endless!

Yuwie users are also constantly doing their best to create marketing ideas that will help get you more friends and give you tips on how to get more referrals, the more they help you (i.e. you read their work, leave comments, etc.) the more it helps them and you at the same time. Yuwie pays per page views, comments, etc.

One fellow Yuwie friend posted a helpful bulletin about 57 great sites that you can leave your referral link and I wanted to share them with you!

Include a few links using your referral url with the same keywords as your title and watch your downline grow. Hint: Search engines index craigslist ads, your ads will have a good chance at making the first couple pages for what ever keywords you optimized for.” I say whatever works!

How to Succeed on Digg: A Simple Step by Step Guide

There is lots of information all over the internet which will tell you how to get the best from Digg, but I found that most of it was so complicated and intricate that it left me with a headache. Absorbing that much information and processing it enough to put it into action is a mind blowing task for many of us.

So, I set out to do some research and come up with a simple guide to making the Digg social networking site work for you. The whole object of the exercise is to get your favourite stories, articles, photos and videos noticed and viewed.

First set up your account and remember to use a name that is easily remembered and a logo that stands out. If you don't want to use your picture, choose something bright and as unique as possible without being too fussy. This is the first thing that attracts readers to your account and your list of stories. It's a bit like window shopping, you look around and something catches your eye. Think carefully about a logo before you decide which to use.

Before you start adding your own stories go to the "upcoming section" (click the tab on the home page.) Read the stories that catch your eye and leave a comment. Add lots of friends and give them the thumbs up. Just one caution here, Digg restricts the speed at which you can add friends and if you add too many (five seems to be the limit) in quick succession you may find that the system doesn't accept any more. Wait 10 minutes if this happens and start again.

Digg new stories added by your friends on a regular basis and most of them will return the favour.

Keep an eye on the 'see who befriended you' section and "friend" them back. This builds your list of friends and as you Digg their stories and articles, they will do the same for you. If someone Diggs an article of yours, return the favour to keep them coming back.

Then add a couple of articles of your own just to see how many Diggs you get. If you get less than ten you need to keep building your list of friends from the "up and coming" section as described above. Take care not to add too many of your own articles or you may get accused of spamming and find yourself banned from the site.

Getting well established Digg members with more clout to befriend you and Digg your stuff is very helpful because one Digg from them might be worth ten or more of anyone else's. Members who Digg successful stories have more influence. There is a hierarchy here and established members have more say. A couple of these could make all the difference between having just a couple of Diggs and reaching the front page where you have the potential of hundreds of thousands of readers. (My Coke and Aspirin Articles both hit Digg's front page and did exceptionally well. It was worth all the effort to get them there. So I know it can be done.)

As you look around on Digg try to comment on stories that you think will hit the front page as this gets your name right out there and increases the chance of getting new friends with clout (as explained earlier.)

It isn't rocket science, although some would have us believe that there is some kind of special knowledge needed to do well here. You just need time and patience. Do a bit of building at a time and you will succeed.

No doubt there are various tricks and tips that will help improve the popularity of your articles on Digg. If you know any of these please share them with the rest of us in the comments box below.
