Hunting Down the Perfect Deal on Ebay

eBay is the perfect place for finding millions of deals on great merchandise and one of a kind collectibles. If you ever thought that you couldn't find a good on eBay, you haven't been looking for what you want for too long. Almost anything you search for on eBay can be bought for a great price.

If you are looking to buy new merchandise on eBay, such as shoes, purses, or clothing you can get a good bargain on great name brands. But if the Louis Vitton bag that you want is still too pricey, you can always check in the vintage clothing. You can get name brands like that for cheap because it may be an older or discontinues style.

When searching for collectibles or antique items, you know that you may have to pay a little higher price for a good quality item. But you can even find deals on autographs, trading cards, and antique furniture. To find deals, first try misspelling your search keywords. Often times items are listed in the wrong categories if they are misspelled. There is also another way to get a deal on some great collectibles. You can buy a collectible such as a trading card at a less than perfect condition and keep a stock of these. Then, when you find one that is in mint condition, you can sell off your stock of less than perfect cards to pay for the new one.

Finding deals on eBay takes a little work and a lot of patience. But if you want to save money and have fun while shopping, eBay is the only online store you'll ever need.

Make Money Online: PTR Programs

Everyone claims that they can make thousands of dollars online, and in only just a few days. I bet you don't believe that. Neither do I. I have been looking for programs for making money online for years, and though there are some great programs out there, it is highly unlikely that you will make thousands-ever.

One of the easiest ways to get starting in making some extra cash online is through PTR programs. PTR, or Paid to Read, programs are programs that send you emails on a daily basis. In those emails is a link to a website. All of the PTR programs have timers, and once you have viewed the website for the specific amount of time, you have earned money. Most programs work on about 0.01 cent per email click. Now, that's one hundredth of a cent, not one cent. It will take you about one hundred clicks to get one penny.

But don't get discouraged. Most PTR members get most of their money from referrals. You will earn a percentage of the money they earn when they do their clicks. If you have a lot of referrals, you will get a lot more money without having to click as much.

PTR programs are great for making some spare change. It's not much, but one average, if you have a few referrals, you can make about ten dollars a month. It's not much, but if you are strapped for cash or if you just want to use your PRT income for eBay shopping, then it's a perfect way to get that little bit of extra income you are looking for.

Three ebay Buying Secrets

Are you addicted to eBay? Do you dream that you have winning bid come in on that vintage dress you just have to have? Well, if you obsess over buying items on eBay like me, then here are three tips that will help you along the way to get the most bang for your buck.

Do Research

If you are like me and want to buy things of value, such as records, vintage clothes, or celebrity autographs, do your research. Find out from eBay and other websites just how much this item (or one of a similar type) is going for. When you have an average price, use that as a guide when bidding on that item. It may take a little effort, but if you get the item for less than you wanted to pay for it, it was worth it.

Buy Used

I know this is a silly tip, but useful for those who seek a real bargain. I've fallen into that trap before of buying a DVD new from eBay only to find out that I could have gotten it for nearly half the price if I bought used. Sometimes used ends up looking better than new, because a lot of new items will come with damaged packaging (not that it matters for using the DVD but… don't you want to keep things pretty?) If you're on the lookout of DVDs or CDs, make sure you check out all the used listings first. They might just save you a lot of money.

Check Your Spelling

And no, I don't mean to make sure it's correct. Try misspelling your keywords to see if what you're looking for comes up. Sometimes sellers are too quick in listing their products so they either misspell keywords or even end up putting the item in the wrong category. Because of a listing error, I bought a vintage earl 1970's issue of a teen magazine for five bucks. If it would have been in the proper category, the price would have reached well over fifteen dollars.

It takes time to find your way around eBay to get the best bargains, but it's worth the time when you don't want to spend a lot, but you still want to get a lot. Happy shopping!

Top Five Podcasts You Should Download

If the writer's strike is getting you down, or you are just the type of person that had very limited time to spare for entertainment, then check out podcasts. Podcasts cover a variety of subjects, and come in either audio or video format. If you have an mp3 player, podcasts can be a great way to get more entertainment then the same old music playlist. Here are some recommended podcasts for people on the go:

News Podcasts

Every major news network provides some type of podcast, whether it's an audio file or video. Most networks provide their popular new programs in a shortened podcast format. This shortened format is great for people who want to keep up to date on news, but don't have a lot of time to do it. Examples of this are CNN's AC360 podcast and NBC's Today show podcast. But for those who want it all, some shows do offer the entire show in video, such as NBC Nightly News or Meet the Press.

Language Podcasts

There is no reason to stop learning just because you are out of school. And what's better than learning a new language? Whether you are learning a new language for a trip you are planning to take, or if it's just to learn how to flirt in another language, it's a great and inexpensive way to challenge yourself. Many languages are available, from German to Japanese, Spanish to Italian. Some podcasts even offer websites for extra learning, such as JapanesePod101. Their website and podcast offer a total package for learning Japanese.

Movie Review Podcasts

Don't know what movie to go and see this weekend? Not sure if some of the classics are worth buying? Check out some of the movie review podcasts available. These podcasts will not only give you movie reviews for those new and exciting flicks, but can also steer you toward the best of the classic movies available on DVD.

Cartoon Podcasts

Want to relive your childhood? Try downloading a cartoon podcast, such as Vintage ToonCast. Vintage ToonCast allows you to download and view videos of old cartoon that are in the public domain. From the beginnings of Disney to Popeye's crazy adventures, you'll find it all here. Vintage ToonCast also has a second podcast with even more classic cartoons for the kid in you.

Make Your Own

If the idea of podcasts intrigues you, and you think you have something to say, try creating your own podcast. See if your ideas appeal to the podcast world. It's easy to do, and can be lots of fun.

All podcasts are not created equal. Because of this, it's good to check out many different podcasts and see which ones that you like best. Happy listening!
